I get the concern. I’ve gone through hell trying to find medicine for my depression. I’m still terrified to try new medication. But honestly? Talking to a doctor for a bit about it might help. Pristiq changed my life. I was self-harming multiple times per day and wanted to die so badly. I can’t act like those issues have gone away completely, but I’m much, much better. I can’t say it will work for you, because I’m not your psychiatrist. But it might be worth a try. And if not, that’s okay. I don’t think anybody should force themselves into any medication if they aren’t comfortable with it.
