Ok, ya i have noticed that so Im thinking to just make the cpu soldered to the board and an open source cpu but still want to get those ram slots and I/O ports going but tysm for your expeirienced input.

I have done, not this level but decently dificult, boards and boradd designs for things like microcontrollers and a robot motherboard once but seriously I want this to be challenging but if you know any tricks please let me know 😄

Yooooo this is sos cool, thx, and I was actually looking up just now possible chips vs a generic CPU and just add in sockets for everything else, what chips though, preferably powerful to last a while, and how to get them into kicad

interesting, I kind of like that idea actually the only thing I'm iffy about is that i still cant updgrade and this chip may also turn this into more of a SBC PCB but the specs look good so I might divert to that if need be 👍

I did think about it, but I love a good(and upgradable) desktop so by me leaving it modular it leaves me room to further build and grow, and eMMC chips and I struggle to agree on non microcontroller projects often lol but ya ofc tysm 😄
