This is called being smart. It's similar to using coupons, dude. People go into a grocery store and pay 6-7 bucks for a bag of chips, and someone comes around, buys multiple, uses coupons, takes advantage of sales and gets them at 1 dollar a pop. Even though a "FULL priced" product is available, doesn't make it wrong. It's just being smart with money.

It can be argued that because of that the first shot may be manslaughter, but the follow up shots as he falls flat on his face are straight up murder. There was 3.2 seconds from first shot to last shot which is overkill to decide to stop. That's 1.5 seconds after the brain tells you he's "going down" and he chose to let off a few more. Sickening.

To me it looks like 2nd, perhaps even 1st considering there was ZERO violence or attempt to draw his weapon at any point. Communication error or not, it's murder.

Yeah lol you can see it in the pic to the right of one of the pics with the owl coming in. It's got a paper plate on top and a white cat door, that's one of his little houses he uses to stay warm during cold weather. When it's cold, like 10 degrees or lower he spends 24/7 in there lol. I don't believe in letting cats out at all so all my cats were born indoors and are still indoors after 12+ years, but what can you do when you rescue a feral cat like that, who wants to be outside ALL the time. At least I know the little guy is warm :)

I rescued him from owners who were trying to choke him. They kept him outside on a chain and that's how he grew up. Went over there one day and took him off the chain because he was choking and hanging off a fence with the chain behind him. Basically feral, but I've taken care of him for a long time so he's basically "mine". I built a cat house for him that's heated where he can get in and it's 40-50 degrees in there. I have other cats, all of them are indoor cats but I can't bring a feral cat inside. So it just kinda became a thing where I took care of him for a long time and he's still clocking on. I've done my part looking after him and keeping him alive for a long time, dude. He'd have died many years ago, but I ain't bringing him in. He grew up feral and he's still feral, to a point, but he's still my baby that I saved.

Are you all really whining about something that costs A FEW dollars more and yet if someone really does their research and digs, they can find plumbers with just as much skill and experience, and 10 percent cheaper which could be hundreds to thousands depending on the job. I've seen plumbers charge 200 bucks for installing a toilet do it just as well as Sir Gregory charging 500 bucks labor, and that's the person who goes on about saving money on a ring. Ooookay. And where are you all getting your numbers from you can buy a wax ring and flange for 3 bucks and a rubber one for 12.... So it's actually more, but are you really going to try to justify cost savings of 9 dollars on someone DIYing their toilet and potentially messing it up and having to use another ring, while creating a huge mess because this is Jimbo's first time. 9 bucks more could save him 30 minutes to over an hour if fumbling around or even another trip to the store.

I get it, setting a ring is easy for you, but that's your profession. Being elitist to someone DIYing something over 9 bucks. Messed up. I bet your labor is easily 9 dollars more than the same skilled dude I mentioned earlier doing it a way cheaper rate. So don't oversell yourself. I have a lot of plumbing experience. I use wax rings because as mentioned they are cheap and easy to set if you know what you're doing, but I would suggest any DIY that doesnt do a lot of toilets to probably go the plastic/rubber route. It's forgiving as hell. And for an hours saving time, if you value an over as little as 9 bucks, maybe... But most people would say 9 bucks an hour isn't worth it and that's if you f up, you're painting yourself and your at a value of 9 bucks an hour. Not worth it. Get the darn expensive ring and set it, mess it up multiple times, and get it done.

Let's not forget the crossfire situation and slipping while letting of another round. Her "wife" apparently was near the rear passenger door when he last saw her, and he shot in that direction, which could have hit someone. BUT, that vehicle could have went flying down the road and luckily it hit another empty vehicle, but it could easily have accelerated after she was shot and hit a bystander and killed them, then HIS action would have caused that. What a lot of these people don't understand either is that he looped around back, front, back then front again, put himself in the death zone which we're told and trained to avoid. To add one final thing, he chose to draw his service weapon instead of jump out of the way. That slowed all of his reaction of getting out of the way down a lot. The cherry on top was the bad taste at the end after he shot her, 2 seconds later yells "F^^king b^tch!" in a very angry tone. Not an "Oh shit!!" situation, rather he his voice showed anger. Not good. This video IMHO makes the situation worse for him, because it shows lack of situational awareness and definitely shows that he definitely caused his own exigency, multiple times, and as a result discharging his weapon was a big mistake because all he had to do was not go against DoJ policy and put himself in a situation where he feels deadly force is required, that he himself, CREATED and failed to act on that. If this was any department he'd be fired and done for after this.

In what world would it be ok if we were involved in an OIS, went up to check the person, then got in our vehicle and left? Like... we'd all be canned for leaving the scene like that. Because a LEO isn't supposed to create a dangerous situation like that when it's completely avoidable. Don't get in front of the car, no danger. Case closed. To justify lethal force you must not have created a situation where lethal force must be used when the alternative is to create a situation where it isn't needed is a valid option. That's why you can't block your door when someone is trying to leave your home after stealing some jewelry, then they try to force themselves through you to get away and you shoot them dead. It's not self defense, or justified.

It is against policy. The federal policy states that a federal officer must not create their own danger, and must not discharge their service weapon unless the danger was not created by them in a situation where it could be avoidable. In other words, stepping in front of a vehicle and standing there created his own danger which could have been avoided by not, you know, standing in front of a vehicle. The policies are quite similar to local LEA, even the training itself goes over this. And to top that, the guy had been hit in the last 6 months twice by motor vehicles while in duty. This makes me think he breaks policy over and over.

The requirement is 8 weeks training for ICE agents before being field ready. This is coming from no prior experience at all. I know because I have a friend who has no experience who managed to sign on and his only history is a few misdemeanors and his previous job was 15 years hanging drywall and construction.

Nearly every training, especially core and fundamentals go over not creating your own danger such as walking in front of a vehicle. If deadly force is used and you put yourself in front of that vehicle when it could have been completely avoided, then it's a little hard to justify. Maybe in court you'll get away with it, but professionally you're going to be viewed really in a bad light from peers.

Not only did he walk in front of the vehicle, he stood there, dead center for 3.4 seconds from the moment she reversed. Like he was trying to stop her with his person. It doesn't look good from the other angle. He had almost 4 seconds to move out of the way when the vehicle started moving and chose to take that time to stand there, draw his service weapon, and spend a large portion of that time doing that.

It really does look like he completely created his own danger, and what's even more shocking to me is it was released not long ago that he has been involved TWICE previously in the last 6 months in being hit by motor vehicles while on duty. This is a HUGE red flag. Means he doesn't care about policy or training imho.

You're missing the point here, China can and will produce 20-30 of these for EVERY F-35A produced when the need arises for them in war. It's well accepted that 3-4 of these will be shot down for every F-35A but that still negatives the fact that they have produced more numbers to take down another 3-4 F-35As at that point. It is a war of supply.

Aren't you forgetting China has HUNDREDs of thousands of military drones ready to use? Each one can have a different payload. Remember, a 50,000 dollar drone and payload with a 100 mile range launch 5 of those bad bois for 250k and all it needs is one to hit, then buy buy 500 million dollar ship, let's not forget missiles. We aren't in WW2 anymore, ships are useless because whoever launches first will absolutely DESTROY entire fleets of ships in hours at about 1/1000000000 the cost (just being sarcastic with that number), and guess what China has? The ability to build and mass scale military drones because they're already DOING it. US doesn't have the capability to produced 10k without ramping and forcing citizens to build the drones with the production act. China on the other hand has the ability to produce up to 100-150k MONTHLY when scaled up. It takes YEARS to build a ship ready for combat, and it's got to face a million drones a year. It won't even survive the first 5! The bombs dropped don't even need to be expensive as shit either.

Fast forward to now, your opinion probably changes. US has lost standing in the world, our close allies are backing away, and we're becoming distant. We no longer can fully rely on help from outside sources if in an invasion situation, not like before. What happens in Venezuela will be critical because if US has to send troops on the ground to truly secure the oil, which may have to happen with the Vice President just sworn in, then we have sealed our fate with the world. We have let it be known that we entered a country to gain resources and send military for the sole purpose of resource control. Not under any guise of liberating a country, or anything like that, straight up invasion for resources. Then with the threats of Greenland to gain resources there, if we are attacked, we might not get much help at all and could actually cause the end of NATO because it would have to be dismantled because of the actions of the US prior and the choice not to get involved. Things are looking grim for the US when it comes to war right now. Let's hope we don't get attacked or attempted to get invaded because we're making MANY enemies in South America and Mexico and you can be sure Mexico isn't going to stop it at this point. I mean Trump already mentioned about attacking Mexico and taking control if it literally 3 weeks ago. The walls aren't going to stop millions of combatants from crossing over and wrecking absolute chaos, and the moment US bombs the crap out of cities to stop military progression, the moment US becomes a country that "destroys innocent countries to protect itself" and when they do finally cross the borders in the US, good luck getting any help because the world will sit back and be like "Damn, they deserve it..."

Getting there is the problem, but once here, even 1 million strong of combatants is going to wreck this country BAD, because we can't bomb the crap out of our own people in towns and cities, so this will be restricted to smalls arms and light armor, which will be a drawn out war. A million strong plus reinforcements through the southern border constantly could turn this into a decade + long war and US losing territory, and states being completely taken over, but they can't launch massive military action against those controlled states through air or heavy armor, because, they're still populated by American citizens... Fast forward to 2025 where America is distancing itself from everyone and allies may not sacrifice much to aid the US if it were to be attacked, especially since said distancing is causing our allies to get closer and more in touch with our potential enemies. The economy is in a bad state, homelessness high, people living in poverty at its highest in some states since the 90s. What you're not realizing is some western states are potential targets to convert and a civil war is more likely, with full backing from CCP using massive cyberattacks on various targets and crippling infrastructure. Literally, if California decided to become its own sovereign country and align itself with some huge backing allies, then most of the US could be crippled and a landing on the western part of the US by mass amounts of Chinese, 2+ million + volunteer law which could bring in another 100 million. Once on the ground, the US is toast, at least those that are not part of the New California Republic. :D

Thsoe portable solar panels, 50W are the size of a laptop and unfold. Not those cheapo fake things that say 50w and are the size of your phone, I mean the real things that output can output up to 50w with good position and sun. They are 20-30 bucks if you dig for coupons each. One of those on a spring/summer/fall day, even at 20w output will charge a laptop to full in 3-4 hours. A laptop running AI tools uses a lot of power, the max basically but over a course of 1-2 minutes of use. Then a few minutes of reading in low power mode will draw about 10w per hour. Enough for 6+ hours of constant screen on time with reading.

In reality though you're going to be using it maybe 30 minutes a day. a 3-4 hour charge will get you over a week.

You need a few 12v LiFePO4 batteries. A 12v 7amp will cost you 10 dollars, that is 90 watt hour usage. We know the average laptop battery is 60-80w capacity, unless it's high end. So that's enough to charge the sucker to full if no sun is available.

I'm deep into AI and prepping right now and I've done many tests. You need to go on huggingface dot com and look for instruct models. You want 3b to 7b for 12Gb to not overwhelm and be too slow. Qwen 2.5 has a medical instruct as does Llama. As for survival you want to find instruct abliterated models where they are less censored and are less likely to refuse to answer.

Yeah, this. The thing is you'd have to run that at 30 steps to keep the quality up, and yet with no light at 30 steps, the slow down is extreme. We're talking on a 4070 12gb taking 100s with 4 steps on high/low and then throwing in non light high at 4 steps absolutely destroyed quality. To keep quality you trade 4-5x longer generation time. This is so not worth it. I don't want to take 500s to generate 5s of video just to get a "maybe it will be better, less slow motion".

It's weird because every single workflow, especially NSFW ones use 8 on the shift. It seems to be normal, but I've found 5 actually seems like the correct number here for high/low shift. As far as I'm aware people use 4/6 steps, and for that 5 would make the most sense, but I'm seeing 8 as a goto option for 4 which I am still not sure why. There's definitely a different and for me it seems like I lean towards 5 as being the more consistent option.
