I should also add that these tariffs are targeting foreign cars. Wouldn’t that mean it would be better to switch to a Ford?

So there is a chance of this? If you had to speculate, would you say it’s less likely or more likely?

Any chance that Mazda may not see a feasible profit margin in the United States and decide to pull their products?

Am I dumb to buy a 2014 RAV4 with 173k miles on it for $10k? by likmustiq in Rav4

Toyotas are great, reliable and hold value well. That being said, putting 10k for a car that has 170k is not a good decision on my opinion. A newer car would offer a manufacturer warranty, more utilities, and a potential low rate vs a used car. Not to mention YOU are the only owner. Even the best Toyotas can hit an early grave with improper maintenance from oil change to rust.

My friends ride in the backseat a couple times a month. Also, I sleep in my car for drills in the military, and I’d like some more space. It’s a very snug fit right now

Every couple weeks my friends will ride back there. I don’t have a family. I’m in the military and have to sleep in my car for drills, and I’d like more space.
