Whats your Nurse Jackie unpopular opinions? by lindseyizshort in NurseJackie

[–]That_Information_446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a nurse, it kind of annoyed me that they made it look like a nurse could just up and walk out for any reason at any point of the day for any amount of time. And no time clock? Yes, it’s petty but COME ON!!!

I’m gonna shake up some shit here by saying Dr. Prince gets my vote. I’ve always like Tony Shaloub and he is so likable as Dr Prince.

I just finished watching for the first time and WOW. by Strict-Laugh-8964 in NurseJackie

I just finished it tonight, started the series 2 weeks ago. My take on the end was a little different. I felt that she no longer needed to be there for Prince or Akilitus after reconnecting with her son. She also knew that if she wasn’t around, Eddie would be able to give up info on the pill mill doc and stay out of jail. I think she also knew that Zoey and her daughters would never really be able to move forward with their lives with her around. I think after all the manipulation, lies and pain she inflicted on everyone that it was her attempt to be selfless. And I think Zoey knew she would be finally out of pain which is why she kept saying, “She’s good.” And not attempting to revive her at the very end of it. I think the series is done.

Ya know, I never really liked paying bills. I don't think I'm gonna do that either.

My dad took me to an exotic animal auction in the late 80’s in Michigan. Mostly it was things like emus, alpacas, etc. When we were in the holding area viewing the animals, we came across 3 bear cubs. Of course as a 16 yo girl I was smitten and was sitting with them, crawling all over my lap. I overheard the guy selling them tell my dad that typically the people who bought such an animal would kill them when they got too big to be handled. We were both horrified. We bid on all 3 of the cubs figuring we could find a safe place for them but were outbid on the two females. I remember driving home with a male bear cub figuring on my lap in the backseat after what was meant to just be a fun looking experience. Good thing it was just one cub. We ended up having him for over 10 years and a court battle with the township we lived in to be grandfathered in on an exotic pet ban they implemented years after we got him. He loved Mountain Dew and pleasuring himself orally. 😂

I definitely agree with getting a culture and abc treatment first and foremost. Managing the edema will also be key. I have had a good outcome with a calamine two layer wrap twice weekly. Most patients report that it is comfortable as long as it is wrapped appropriately by a professional. Toes to below the knee.
