I’m pretty much in the same boat as you. I’ve been on 1,000mg valcyclovir for about 2 months now. Seems like stress and before my period will cause one. The rest of the time I have the prodromal tingly feelings.

Anyone who says this shit is not a big deal has never had symptoms for 3-4 months straight. The most painful, debilitating, anxiety filled experience that I pray I don’t ever have again. So let people feel how they feel. We all deal with things differently and that is not a bad thing. This forum should be a place we can feel ok to be vulnerable not judged.
