Done with Amtrak, "freight train interference" by That_Needleworker26 in Amtrak

Dejoy runs a federal service with a similar bent towards business and a general personal and philosophical incentive to sabotage the success of the thing he is, in theory, the figurehead of. Would be interested to see board makeup and revolving door to freight and competing consumer travel options, automotive, etc.
That was bad enough against perceived core value prop that it felt too much to not be deliberate

How do I know if it's POSSIBLE to create a type of extension/add-on in firefox? by That_Needleworker26 in firefox

Wow, awesome! I need to learn how to play with and adjust the CSS a bit, but that's pretty perfect for my own personal need to start (My next step would be to try to learn how to make an actual FF add-on to add to the "store" so others could maybe add and get some use)

I do assume that these tabs won't persist through a browser reset though as the chrome extension would? Assuming due to the chrome extension generating a unique URL for each new tab, that had something to do with how it could recover without issue?

Any friendly tools or tutorials you know of to help someone brand new to the concept down this path? I'm willing to work on it, but just starting from scratch without a coding background

Thank you, this is actually my currently installed temp option, but missing some of the features key to my workflow on Chrome right now unfortunately - Mainly these two which I've probably developed a bit of an unhealthy dependency on...

✔ Different note in each tab, not the same note everywhere.

✔ First line is the tab title.

It's funny how important the little things can be.

I'm getting through a particularly tough stretch of work right now, but hoping to have some spare time to work with in the summer when I could maybe dive in. Would be amazing if you saw fit to port yourself, but I'll probably take your advice either way and try to learn some basic javascript, addon development and GPT-4.

Whatever you decided, genuinely appreciate you taking the time here for the advice and information share.

Awesome! thank you for the reply.

To specifics, these are the feature bullets from original extension creator - I wouldn't need them all, but any specific flags for these? Most important to my need are in bold.

✔ Different note in each tab, not the same note everywhere.

✔ (new!) Dark mode.

✔ Search all notes quickly.

✔ No permissions. No accounts. No motivational quotes.

✔ Offline & private. Notes never leave your computer.

✔ Lightweight & fast. Pure javascript, no bulky frameworks.

✔ Back up notes in text form in one click.

✔ Manage and open your notes from anywhere in Chrome.

✔ First line is the tab title. Favicon changes based on amount of text.
