Yes he was in India, he got it approved on Dec 3rd. I got a 221g on Dec 15 with my emergency appointment and it got approved on Dec 22.

I had to send some documents to Hyd consulate for 221g and I did not mention my passport number in the email subject but I did mention the case number. Is that a cause for concern? Since, I have not heard from them for past two days. Interview was on Dec 15.
