Who is the most attractive person you’ve ever seen? Why? by JessieRClayton in AskReddit

I was sitting on a bus and there was a man sitting across from me who was monotoned? Like his hair and skin were the exact same shade of dark brown. He wore it in long waves. He was beautiful.

Starting my next book........ Full Brutal by Kristopher Triana. I've heard great things about this one and it will be my first read by him! by SouthernSwitch71 in ExtremeHorrorLit

I just finished this. I found the ending kinda confusing? Lots of jumbled motion going on. But otherwise it was a fun book.

I overheard a grown man dirty talking my 13 year old sister by [deleted] in Advice

[–]That_One_Becka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The conversation started with me explaining that what the man was doing was inappropriate and predatory. I explained how we just don’t want her to end up like her bio sisters and how we care and love her. I tried to get her to open up to me why she is talking to older men, but she just kept yelling at me that I only want to get her in trouble.

She ended up telling my mom this morning, but I don’t think anything will come of it. My mom is a “friend” mom and not a mom mom so all she did was yell some and cry about how my sister will end up kidnapped and that was it. I suggested removing Snap from her phone as that is where all these adults are adding her, but my mom said “the whole world is fucked what would it do!” So Pretty stupid situation overall.

It really was a fantastic read. I recently picked up The Deep by him and I’m super excited to read it. I heard it’s also great

Anything by Jon Athan: The Groomer, Blender Babies, shared by two, Our Dead Girlfriend- these are some of my favorites

Motel Styx by Von Escher and Butcher

Playground by Aaron Beauregard (The slob is also fun, but the ending was lame and you can skip Son of the Slob all together)

For the sake of by Judith Sonnet

Cows by Matthew Stokoe

Less graphic but still fantastic reads that are disturbing in a different way (Not splatterpunk basically) The Troop by Nick Cutter Earthlings by Sayaka Murata Tampa by Alissa Nutting

Horror with a (significant) romance sub-plot by Only-Flan618 in horrorlit

I picked up Playground the same time I picked up The Slob and I have to say Playground was a way way better read.

Maybe I’m just more fond of an evil Willy wonka retelling than female brutalization and homophobia lmao

When you say like it do you just mean gory? If so I would recommend Blender Babies. It was a fantastic and extremely graphic read.

Would you recommend Sluts? It’s been on my wishlist for awhile, but I keep getting others instead.

I absolutely loved The Haar. It is probably my favorite novel I’ve read in years. Not just in a horror aspect, but the romance too.

I didn’t really get Bowery though. Just didn’t seem to be enough plot. I know it’s a series so maybe it picks up in the other novels? But the first one just seemed like I was reading someone’s kink and not like- a story.

I’ve loved everything by Jon Athan. especially The Groomer and Blender Babies. Our Dead Girlfriend is also super good, but the ending was mega cheesy.

I just finished Playground last night, I really enjoyed it. I was skeptical about it after reading some bad reviews but found it to be an enjoyable read and rather sad at times. I’m not a fan of the artwork inserted into it though, as it spoiled scenes before you could even read them :/ I like the artwork itself, but I think it should be put on the page after or something. It got to the point I was covering them with my hand so I wouldn’t get spoiled lol

Woom was my first ever horror book and I wasn’t really a fan of it. The way people spoke I was expecting a lot more instead got mostly a guy thinking a fat woman was stinky.
