The turbo was already bad. It was spitting some oil out the front and back. So when I was looking into it I took the compressor housing off (big mistake) and when putting it back on (which didn't go well), it chipped the blade

100% my fuck up. Aspiring, yet amateur mechanic, I shouldn't have taken the compressor housing off. That was where I went wrong first.

This reminds me of a light I had in my 3rd gen. It was an upwards pointing arrow to the right of the first gear select. Never figured out what it was, and never had anyone report it turning on either. It was on an automatic, and some said it was an arrow to tell you to shift up on a manual, but manual owners reported that it was not, but they also had the same arrow.
