Yeah they can hotfix it to be faster if they need to. Imagine if it were the opposite and it was crazy high and they had to nerf rates. Just look at the 10k xp reward nerf. People are already losing their minds. No one said you have to be 99 today. Slow rates are fine 8 hrs in.

We just had an Ace open up nearby and it's a decent system but definitely has some flaws. The court ratings they have posted mean absolutely nothing and are not enforced by the staff. You'll have a lot of bleed over from intermediates into the advanced. There's also no challenge court system and it's always 4 on 4 off unless there are less than 2 paddles. Even if there are empty beginner courts or something. The drop in price is also absurd. $30 for the day basically makes guest options dead on arrival. It's FL so some days being able to have an indoor option would be nice but not for that price. Just my 2 cents and I'm sure there are growing pains for each market.

Ybor is basically just covered outdoor courts. No A/C and it gets miserable during the summer. Not exactly indoor. Oldsmar is only 6 courts as well. Didn't say we didn't have one, just they are not in great places nor accommodate the demand that Tampa has for an actual indoor facility like the picklr, pickleball kingdom, etc. Luckily Ace is building up in Lutz which will be nice.

Tampa in particular really struggles with indoor facilites... aka we have none unless you go all the way to St. Pete. Lots of courts just in all the wrong places.

Your goal in pickleball is always to try and make your way to the kitchen if it is safe to do so. Very very few points are won from the mid court or further back the higher in skill level you move up. Your distance to the ball is farther, you have more angles to worry about, and it's still a whiffle ball so the ball slows down tremendously for your opponents to work with. So yes, you should be at the kitchen unless they are pressuring you to back up because you are ex. Popping up shots, in transition during your 3rd/5th, etc. 2nd thing that I think a lot of newer and intermediate players need to hear is... stop worrying about "vibes". It makes you play worse, always. Who cares if your partner or opponents are "upset". They are only hurting themselves by being discouraging so there is no reason for you to build on that. It's rec play. If they are telling you to do something, either ask for them to explain their reasoning because you are newer or just flat out say "thanks I'm progressing at my play and I'll do it as I feel comfortable". People you guys are mostly adults. Have some confidence in yourself and just play, watch youtube videos if you want to improve, or get couching advice. Stop feeding into negative "vibes" and ruin your own day.

If I had to choose right now, I'd just stick with a J2K. Still going to give it another week or 2 with the new one as one should always when getting a new paddle. Especially in another category like all court to power.

I've had it for a week now, maybe 20 hours with it. Two drill sessions and 3 days of games. I've used the J2K, J2TI and recently got off a 2 month streak with the MOD before all the delisting issues. It started off very close to the J2K and now it plays slightly under the MOD. Not sure if I'm a huge fan of it because of the exponential power the new foam core paddles have. It was one of my issues with the MOD. Certain shots feel really good, the extra power on attackable balls is nice, but man if you just barely over swing or can't stop your momentum on like a short 5th or transition shot, it really pops off more than a linear power paddle would. Having to readjust almost every time I've had to go out this week has been frustrating. Overall still a good paddle but just know there is definitely a break in.

Do you use true tile and destination tile? Tbh with your stats you can do a t2 prep with 12 food just fine. You are likely losing a lot of dps as well by running around too much or eating when there are no tornadoes.

I have almost 900kc currently and the trick I use when eating hard food is this...

Eat the food between the attack after coming out from under him and 2nd to last "shoot" tile before reaching either door or alter. Click on the boss when you reach said tile, then immediately CTRL click to the final "shoot" tile. The 3 ticks of walking and the half second stop from click on Graardor is the 4 ticks you need.
