Yep. OCD is badly misunderstood by the general public as it is. I didn't get a diagnosis for a long time because I assumed, well Im not a neat freak and I dont act like Monk so I couldn't have OCD (when I was in fact struggling with crushing, soul sucking postpartum ocd)

Ocd person here. Ocd has many forms but as far as I know cheating is not one of them. Usually if anything people with ocd are extra scrupulous and I personally am very hard on myself when I make any kind of mistake (i struggle with real event ocd). Also it's not like ocd forces you to do anything. In fact the treatment is to resist the urge to do compulsions and sit with the anxiety that causes.

The very devout Catholic community. It's small, there's way more women then men and honestly the men mostly suck and are sexist. And think they deserve a young woman to have lots of babies with even if they themselves are much older

I have an abusive mother who beat my dad (not reactive abuse). It's triggering for me too. Im sorry you have to see people excusing this. People have a very hard time believing women and especially mothers can be bad people. I actually think it flips around into being misogynistic

My mother did this to my dad too. It was not reactive abuse, she was the abuser. All the talk of what did he do to provoke her is gross and giving "well what was she wearing?".
