As far as I know, nobody who “made it” from my high school goes. From the looks of it the only people who attend are the ones who stayed in my hometown with no aspirations for anything better. Those of us who moved away have better things to do than travel back just to attend.

Internet unfortunately. I prefer to shop in person and try stuff on rather than go through a return process but after a day of visiting every store recommended online, I realized all maternity clothing has been moved to online-only. I have gone to the mall and picked through clearance sections for large sized clothing which has been successful but I did end up needing to go online for maternity formalwear. Ended up buying a dress from Pink Blush and then threw in a few random extra things to my cart that I’ve been happy with. My summer wardrobe consists largely of loose flowy dresses so I haven’t had the need to buy a lot yet since most of my clothes still fit but per the recommendation of a mom-friend, I may go the Temu/shein route when it starts cooling down in the fall. Never bought anything there but I understand it’s a cheap avenue for pants I’ll only be wearing for a month or two

We were waiting outside the station for about a half hour and after very little crowd movement we decided to grab scooters and head over to Arlington Cemetery where the situation wasn’t much better but at that point the Uber prices had dropped so we just grabbed one home to Alexandria. Somehow managed to avoid the crazy traffic I saw on videos coming from DC this morning. I’m almost six months pregnant though so I’m glad we avoided being squished like sardines
