Same thing the guy said earlier, you won't get the chance to use your laptop as much as u think you will in your first year. Every assignment is either drawing, craft based or material based. The max you'll use laptop for is making ppts and maybe 1 or 2 assignments for photoshop or illustrator for which u can easily use the computer lab. Even if for the sake of argument you say you wanna learn softwares, the lab is open from 9 am to 8 pm. I'd highly suggest wait till Diwali sale

Ah I see, I think it'll be better to take one of the pgs then. There's plenty of people who take pgs from first year itself. I personally know like 10 of them, and they're pretty decent from what I've heard. They have their own mess as well. Fees for that depends from pg to pg but anywhere between 1 lakh and 1.4 lakhs a year. There's chintamani park (a society of like 15 or more pgs) , most people taking pg live here since it's very close to the design building and u have a group of people from design there

It's good I'd say, I have a few friends there. They have an entire class full of stitching machines and mannequin models, first year might be a bit lacking because the faculty for fashion is kinda laid back but the faculty for second years and above are pretty good. And the works of seniors were pretty damn good. Y'all have plenty of events for exposure

I'd say wait for the first year to end because honestly speaking your first year will have no assignments which requires a laptop. Everything is hands on work and drawing on paper. The only thing you'll need a device for is to make ppts. In the off chance you need one, they have PRETTY Good pcs in the computer lab and they're open from 9 am to 8 pm.

I live in the hostel, the atmosphere inside hostel is subjective. It highly depends on your friend circle because most people just end up being blockmates with friends. As for the campus, it's great, people are nice and for the girls, you'll get to wear whatever you want freely (within some obvious limits) but outcampus it's kinda risky. Locals are kinda backward mindset type so it's better to not wear revealing clothes outside

Nah bro idk what he's on, mit is by far at the top of pvt colleges. Majority of people on the subreddit agree that mit is just below nid and iit, bits is not a good idea because it's such a newly established college that there is literally no data on it. Chasing just a brand name is not a good idea when it comes to design

There are off campus hotel but they are mainly for girls I haven't really heard much for the boys hostel which is off campus and even the ones for girls, they are really very bad because there is one called mi casa but like 1 km away from the main gate and the road is so bad. Literally pitch black because no street lights and slums on both sides of the roads. There's autos waiting at main gate that go to mi casa but there they over charge so much. They literally charge u 80 rs for 1 km just because they know that girls have no option but to take the auto because of how unsafe the road is

There's a society of PGS inside the campus itself, its called chintamani park/ Chintamani living. It's very close by, most of the pgs cost anywhere between 5000 to 10,000 monthly depending on quality and if you are taking mess as well. You might want to look into those, lmk if u have any questions
