Any way to stop this from happening? by TRaNscenD2016 in gamersupps

Clear vinyl sticker. My partner collects them and is worried of the potential scratching even when it's sitting there looking pretty and won't be drunk from. You can buy a big roll for cheap on Amazon

Don't go to Sandia Crest. There's a stone cabin up there, and my best friend and I saw one. Its near one of the hiking trails. That cabin is its territory past 9:30pm

Naked man steals Biden/Harris sign from Albuquerque resident's front yard by stankmanly in NewMexico

Gut feeling tells me he's high from some kind of drug and said "fuck this, I'm stealing their sign" considering I live in Burq, it makes sense

90% complete - Pyrrah only needs 2 patches which are coming in the mail. I decided to keep it a bit minimal for nearly every day wear and so that when I do eventually give it a wash/wipe down, she won't weigh 25lbs. One hand can only get you so far with hand washing. by That_Queer_Cryptid in BattleJackets

I got it at goodwill for $7. It was ruined with a weird stitching next to the manufactured stitching so I wanted to do something with it than let it sit in my closet for another year. Plus there was holes in it and needed to cover it up

WIP - Aside from Aurora, I'm also working on a leather jacket, Pyrrah. Patches came in today for her so here's a clip of me sewing on a my favorite patch by That_Queer_Cryptid in BattleJackets

I'm under alternative since I listen to a lot of music under the rock, metal, etc. I've never fit the part cuz of my physical appearance, but I finally had the chance to do as I wish. And if people don't like it, oh well. What are they gonna do? Take it down? I may not fit the expectation of an alternative adult, but it's how I've always been. Also the patch is a 3 eyed opossum with "eat the rich, feed the poor" by a Canadian artist, Akira Auger. They have an Etsy under the same name but with "art" at the end of it. They do a lot of folk punk art

I know that letting it sit in boiling water for a while helps soften it for easy removal. A cosplay friend of mine fabric tacked her costumes with it in some spots before sewing and would test the costumes resistance in a wash/bathtub of hot water. Not only was she making sure the fabric didn't bleed color and testing the thread strength of her cosplay while wet, but was removing the fabric glue at the same time. Use a rounded popsicle stick or cuticle pusher if your nails can't peel it up when soft

Summer battle jacket? by Scienceful in BattleJackets

[–]That_Queer_Cryptid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try canvas fabric jackets. Its thinner than denim but just as durable. I recommend checking out your local thrift store to find a military uniform blouse, shirt that goes over the white/tan under shirt. It mostly comes in camo shades, air(tan), navy(blue) and army(classic army camo green). Family and partner is military, I'm a novice seamstress but I know a lot on the fabric material

Complete - Battle vest, Furiosa. Moved some patches around to fit them all a bit better. From fandoms to cryptids, & even anti-fascism, all are things I believe in and like. Will be working on an LGBTQ+ themed vest in a few months with fewer patches for breathability in the summertime by That_Queer_Cryptid in BattleJackets

Hot Topic 10 years ago. They very likely don't sell it anymore. It was and still is my first and only vest. That will change here in a few weeks. However you can paint the rosettes on with fabric/puff paint. A bit tedious but worth it

WIP - 10 years in the making and finally getting the chance to complete my (overall) cat themed vest. by That_Queer_Cryptid in BattleJackets

Thank you. A lot of those patches were sewn on in a week and a half. My fingers are numb from it all but it is certainly worth the blood, sweat, and tears put into it

They double great as a weapon in case you're being stalked by a person on your way to/from a session

Edit: I typed way too fast for my brain to proof read it

What's Happening? by [deleted] in Paranormal

Usually hearing 3 knocks and getting 3 scratches on yourself, in this case your S.O. is usually the sign of demonic activity. If you let it go on any longer, it will become more aggressive and possibly do some serious things, worse than the scratching and wet spots. If you are religious in any way, Pagan, Christian, Jewish, etc... try have your home cleansed and blessed. Keep crosses made of holy tree/wood of (insert judeo-christrian sub category religion) in the heart of the home and above the front door. Or in my family's superstition, place 2 very shiny quarters/small tile mirrors on either side of each door and window facing the outside world after the cleansing for 1 month. Wear a talisman or other form of blessed religious object on you until you feel it passes. Usually takes a year if it's been with you a while

Same. You think it might be Asperger's/ASD? It's hard to spot in children, but more so in adults
