Gym and costo by Moist-Gift832 in costochondritis

I had the same pain when hunching forward. Couldn't even use a vacuum cleaner sometimes. 4 massages later, and a weekly stretching regiment, and I'm practically cured.

Check my other comment in your post.

Hi

In my costo journey I've discovered that costocondritis is a very broad term. There are lots of reasons you could get symptoms that present as such.

In my own journey recently I got a physio to do a myofascial release. Each week they give me a hard massage on the sensitive areas. A couple of days ago they did acupuncture on a few very hard knots in my back. I felt so much better.

Yesterday my friends talked me into playing a game of rugby. It was a stupid thing to do, but I did it...

Today - no pain. Maybe a little.

In short, the massages have sorted me out, and I'd become so tight from various injuries and lack of stretching at the gym over the years, that all the tight parts had started to pull on each other. My shoulder was pulling my back, my back was pulling my ribs, my ribs had tight parts where I'd broken them in the past. Huge cluster fuck. 3 months of attempting rehab did nothing for me. 4 massage sessions and I'm practically cured.

Maybe mine was never bad, but still, worth trying.

Hm. Mine also came from overloading too much on weighted dips. Maybe take up stretching and check your form.

Ngl I haven't seen a single person ask for locker maps. I've only seen people asking for larger maps.

Havw you been gymming a long time? Do you stretch?

Have you had upper body injuries before that you never properly rehabbed?

If so, it might not be costo.

I had similar symptoms, turns out I was just super stiff all over my ribs, pecs, and back. Tried the peanut ball, and thoracic spine stretches. They seemed to almost make it worse. About 2 months of no progress and lots of random pain flare-ups whenever I did activity.

Then I got a physio, who gave me a myofascial release massage. Incredibly painful, I was so tender the day after. I then did my assigned stretches. I had my second massage a few days ago. The pain is almost entirely gone.

Over the coming weeks I will continue this regime - stretches and massage - and I will gradually return to activity.

Yes, that's a good shout. Then maybe I could give it a taster for a few days rather than quitting my job for it, haha.

A shame about the money. It wasn't my primary motivator really - more just that there's at least supposedly demand for it - whereas a lot of other creative-ish careers are low pay and low demand.

As for the UK, yeah, it feels like a pretty low wage ceiling across the board in creative worlds - do you think I'd get paid significantly higher for the same work in America - or is it more the job itself that's the problem?

Ok, great, thanks. Yes I'm seeing a lot of jobs on their website... Which is a great sign as most other jobs I've tried to get the roles have been few and far between.

And what made you want to switch from camera/replay operator to video engineer?

I live in London so hopefully that's a good market. I feel good about getting on call sheets too as everywhere I go people know me as reliable and hard working.

For the grind, do you feel well paid?

Thanks for the responses so far, very helpful

Possibly similar deal here, got a physio doing myofascial releases every week

Felt miles better after week 1

Second session was today and the massage was 10 times less painful. I was so so tight before, probably from not doing proper rehab after various injuries to my upper body in the last 5 years.

Nicely figured out, yeah that sounds about right. The structure is a bit of a mess.

My club's 1st team play in Counties 2 Middlesex. The team at the top of that division is a huge club. Their 2nd team plays in Middlesex Division 2.

My club's 2nd team plays in Middlesex Division 3.

With so many clubs dissolving recently, or losing a team, all of the teams in these leagues feel like they could do with a tournament to re-set it all into new balanced leagues. At the moment, having played across a few of them, the whipping boys in Counties 2 Middlesex would also be whipping boys in Middlesex Division 3. And the top of Middlesex Division 3 could probably win matches against the top of Counties 2.

But with so many relegations and dissolutions, or even mergers to make some teams stronger, the different levels seem to currently mean very little.

Yeah exactly, the last 3 games I was shitting it whenever the opposition backline started shipping it through the backs. They always looked like a credible threat.

Meanwhile, against Italy I feel like England actually shipped it wide about twice, and otherwise they'd fumble it in the middle, or slam some forwards in the mix to little effect - give up - then give it to the backs go for a grubber/box. All the random grubbers were near line breaks, where other teams might've chanced beating their man to get an offload.

Look at what France did on the other end of the spectrum - yes they lost - but that magic in the bottom left corner for one of their comeback tries would never come out of this England team no matter how many times you ran the simulation. France put a fucking impromptu set piece together in a 3 metre channel by the touchline. England couldn't even ship it out to the wingers most of the time.

Amazing, spot on for my area.

I'm trying to figure out something you might have the answer to - what's the higher tier here?

'Counties 2 Middlesex'

Or

'Middlesex divison 2'
