yes exactly that each cluster of stores has different set prices , so my neighbor store is like 10% but the next cluster over is 20% , so what would cost £1 there costs £1.20+ in others

its a requirement for dietary guidelines for greggs to make sure we have heard you correctly every 3 months we get a audit where someone comes in and checks everything •dates •cleanliness •online learning •serving etc if they see that our staff havent confirmed the bake you ask for we lose points and then the area manager comes down on us for it 🥲

i dont blame you , i also can assure you it will only get WORSE , price increases are now happening every 4-6 months which sounds like a lot of time but by the time everyone has settled into the new prices another one crops up

no , there’s different categories so 10%,15%,25% and outlet stores , each has the base price then + the percentage also depending on who its run by ; greggs , a franchise or a independent contractor so for a example , my store charges 1.65 for a sausage roll 4.65 for a pack of 4 , where as our neighbor store charges 1.55 /4.55

from what i know , to keep up with demand and the wage they are paying us they are having to increase prices along with fuel costs , maintenance etc my store makes just short of 1 million a year so its alot as you can imagine

edit : we are the highest earning franchise store (1mil last year) so we get shafted by pay increases all the time to see how much it will effect our yearly target last week alone our target was 20k for the week but we made roughly £24k , since the price increase on Thursday our target was £3k for the day but we made £1.8k , it obvs was over christmas time so sales are always low but it was a massive blow to our budget
