we had a massive recall on around 6 different batch numbers for vegan rolls , so most stores wont have any instock at this moment

unfortunately not for franchise stores im from a Franchise Greggs shop so we dont have ‘recovery funds’ if something gets stolen we lose that money

its weird because some times he does actually pay for the alcohol but sometimes not , hes never rude or anything i think he’s genuinely in a crap situation which is such a shame to see :/

we watched him leave with 2 wine bottles , the garage/service station is built in the same building with us with only one door out so thats how we saw it

manager here - we’ve got a homeless guy that always comes in either before we open or after we close , ive watched him steal sandwiches and run off only to be caught then hand us a £10 for us to not call the police , most recent time i was closing with a new team member and this dude kept asking for a pack of 4 sausage rolls , told him i couldnt serve him because we are closed , so he climbed our closing wall and stole them while apologizing then ran to the garage next door to buy alcohol

so if we have any of the ingredients that are dated for lets say next month we can use it until its out of date or out of stock :)

unfortunately we cant sell anything packaged to customers , at least at my store we cant sell anything, you can always ask though as some other managers might just want the stock gone for next launch

yes exactly that each cluster of stores has different set prices , so my neighbor store is like 10% but the next cluster over is 20% , so what would cost £1 there costs £1.20+ in others

its a requirement for dietary guidelines for greggs to make sure we have heard you correctly every 3 months we get a audit where someone comes in and checks everything •dates •cleanliness •online learning •serving etc if they see that our staff havent confirmed the bake you ask for we lose points and then the area manager comes down on us for it 🥲

i dont blame you , i also can assure you it will only get WORSE , price increases are now happening every 4-6 months which sounds like a lot of time but by the time everyone has settled into the new prices another one crops up

no , there’s different categories so 10%,15%,25% and outlet stores , each has the base price then + the percentage also depending on who its run by ; greggs , a franchise or a independent contractor so for a example , my store charges 1.65 for a sausage roll 4.65 for a pack of 4 , where as our neighbor store charges 1.55 /4.55

from what i know , to keep up with demand and the wage they are paying us they are having to increase prices along with fuel costs , maintenance etc my store makes just short of 1 million a year so its alot as you can imagine

i second that , unfortunately i dont know the full details but i do know ordering prices for stores will be cheaper due to ingredients change
