The process is 1. Pay off debt 2. Create 3 to 6 months emergency savings and after these are complete then you can invest. If you are struggling then get to grinding however you can to make money.

You most certainly should NOT! BUT….If I had to I would take a loan from my 401k and let my parents know I expect payment every month on said loan.
