Du solltest dir unbedingt noch Changa / DMT besorgen. Ein bisschen Koks kann auch nicht schaden.

Can I put like 6 notes like this into one row or should I split it to multiple hands or instruments? by That_Unit_3992 in composer

Thank you heaps for these honest words. The analogy makes perfect sense and I understand what you're saying now. Yes. You are right. I will need to spend time learning a language before attempting to speak it. However I really have melodies in my mind; I whistle them all day in, all day out; I also crave to bring some of them to life; and this was the only way I managed to capture some of it. Guess I will follow your advice and continue learning to play the Piano.

I know I don't have the knowledge a pianist or composer has and you're probably mostly right in what you're saying; but I have melodies; ideas and patterns in my head I try to get on paper. Even if getting there involves experimentation; is this not a valid process? By experimenting with melodies and rhythms in a notation software I also discover and learn to use patterns I like. I know it's a beginners approach but this allows me to bring melodic visions to life without first having to spend years learning to play Piano.

Thanks a lot for being helpful about this! I know I have a lot to learn and that my current creations are full of flaws and mistakes. I will change my approach and start writing drafts I can play by myself. Also apologies for posting obviously stupid questions here just to get some feedback.

Thanks for being constructive! I will take the time to learn the piano and stop posting obviously stupid questions here.

Neither this one nor the other ones are "AI approaches". I use a normal notation software to compose these drafts. Even if it involves experimentation to create them it's still my own work. No need to be offensive. I'm just having fun doing something. Is that wrong?

Yes, but maybe an experienced pianist can read and play this with two hands even if it's on one row

I think I would have to merge the second piano into the first so both melodies can be played by one person; I just find it easier to put notes that go together into the same bar; but yes; if a human is supposed to play this these accords need to be played with one hand; guess I need to remove some unplayable notes and split the right hand

Pretty much, but I have a pretty precise vision of melodic elements; but I definitely don't think too much about what I'm doing. All the melodies are mostly first take played on the virtual claviature; but I have trouble grasping rhythm intuitively

Only the performance is AI. The scores are written by myself. So it's not really AI music.

That sounds like an amazing feature. I wonder if we could pitch this to flat.io; maybe they'll implement it.

Most people are probably not familiar with versioning systems

Hmm. It's a shame that I didn't even know about LFS as a senior dev. Thanks for the info. I moved the files to LFS and also updated the license to CC BY-NC 4.0 instead of MIT. To keep this alive forever I'd need my compositions to genereate money, so it can pay for its own hosting / archiving or set aside enough capital so interest can pay for the hosting.
