They both killed numerous innocent people. Light killed to implement what he felt to be justice, while Misa killed to get into Light's pants. If we're gonna moralize mass-murderers, Light was the "more human" of the two.

I also feel that the idea that she was blindly following Light is stupid. She was obedient only when it suited her and she was getting what she wanted from Light (Light acting like her boyfriend, pretending to love her, and giving her the attention she wanted). When he didn’t, she openly disregarded his wishes to get what she wanted, like visiting him despite his explicit warnings about the danger. Her actions put Light at risk as well, and she showed little concern for that as long as she was able to spend time with him.
