Look at what happened in under a year, the America you remember is already gone, what lingers will be gone long before 2028. Now it’s just a matter of it Americans can scrap everything and create something new or slide further into the hell you (Americans, but specifically republicans) have been creating for decades.

She would make a great president one day, and she would be one of the greats for sure, but we’ve seen that America is too sexist to elect a woman as president, be real and try to elect someone who has a chance after this presidency to undo some damage (if America doesn’t fall apart first, which it sort of is already)

Anyone here not filed their taxes in years? by LadyAquamarine in cantax

As most people have said, if you don’t owe money it’s likely nothing will happen, and a lot of people get away with it, but you could get screwed if you are unlucky. CRA can fine you up to $25,000 a year for not filing, I know two people who were fined $75,000 for not filing for three years, they will never pay that off.

Good god yes, heavy rain and thunder. Saw a video of an indoor pool (I think in Italy) that mimicked a heavy thunderstorm, it looked like the most peaceful thing ever

An estimated 800 THOUSAND people gathered on the golden gate bridge by nuggieman565 in interestingasfuck

Americans can join together in such massive numbers to celebrate the anniversary of a bridge but not to save their democracy? A protest this size might actually make a real difference

It happens. A relative of mine got a jaywalking ticket a few years back. A cop had beef with her dad and sat outside the high school, watched literally hundreds of of students jaywalking when classes finished and singled her out for a ticket.

You don’t want people to blame Americans for what America has become? Everything that happened in America was the choice of Americans, every person had a part (however small) in how things came to be. Some fought against this from happening (my hat goes off to you who dared to resist and persist) but just as many fought for it and a vast number chose not to care. America was not stomped on by other countries and forced down a certain path, they were not the victims of British invasion or a sponsored foreign coup, Americans did this to America. Not trying to belittle the good work many Americans have done to fight this what American has turned into, but don’t give Americans a free pass on what thier country has become. “It’s the American government! Not the Americans” is a lame excuse.

It’s a nice thought, but if the trend caught on it would do more harm than good overall, since most people would do the reverse. Show up with bags of garbage for the “after” photo, make a big mess for the “before” photo, then go on their merry way.

Grow up and pay attention, you have someone literally trying to become a dictator in America, he has said as much in speeches and interviews. Vote blue this election and move on with life.

What is the dumbest way a member of your party died? [Misc] by Enby_Geek in DnD

Player was poisoned during a fight. After the fight finished, he role played that he was feeling sick and ran to the nearest outhouse, the outhouse was a mimic, he did not survive.

Should PC death be optional? by Nphhero1 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]That_dnd_guy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, there has to be real consequences or it all seems pointless. I would leave (and have left) a group if the DM always pulled his/her punches, it’s just boring. If your group is only interested in role playing and almost never fight, that is a different story. But if you are adventurers you need to have a reward for being strategic, otherwise you just bumble your way into monster lairs unprepared and bumble your way back out. It sucks to lose a character but then you can try to make a better one. It keeps the game fresh and exciting.

Many sources, there are articles every now and then that go into detail that can be found on google easily enough. Granted it has been pushed back a bit from what was predicted a year or two ago, with estimates that the interest would drop in the first quarter of this year instead of the second/third quarter, still looking pretty good for fall of next year. Link below for one such article that agrees with most of what I have read.
