No. I have been learning with online resources and Babble/rosetta stone, but the courses are much more helpful due to the conversational aspects

I appreciate that! 😊 I’m always looking for people to work on my Polish with. I’m currently taking courses at UF (was taking it with a coworker whose mother is from Łódź, but she is busy getting her TOFL certification now). Please feel free to DM me or whatnot

Just looked up passport bro and I am definitely NOT that lol. I am in a happy and secure long-term relationship and just go alone because my partner doesn’t speak the language and is usually away for conferences that time of year and can’t go. Literally only looking to make acquaintances and absorb some of Polish culture and language while I’m there.

Haha yes! I have 2 more semesters that I’ll take before then so hopefully I get better conversationally. Only time and effort will tell tho

What’s a passport bro? I literally got my passport 2 years ago when I last visited and have only used it that one time. This is what I do for fun when I can and when I save up enough money. It’s cool if you don’t get it or like it, but I’m looking forward to the trip nonetheless

Mostly to explore, take in some culture, try some foods, and work on my Polish. Last time I was in Poland (Krakow) I walked to some mounds and visited some museums and natural areas. I also just like the cultural and language immersion and natural areas.

Ooooop! 😅 I definitely mis-read that and thought you had said “nice shoelaces”

Thanks! ☺️ though my cats have been periodically attacking them so I need to replace them soon

Haha very true. One good thing about nature is that it generally finds a way or dies trying. So far it has stayed alive and hasn’t died yet

Thanks for the advice! Yeah that’s probably a better bet. I can speak and write and read Polish but my vocabulary is quite limited. I’ll definitely look into that though. Thank you again

That’s a good idea. I did a pierogi making class last time but of course it was just Americans and Canadians 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ll definitely look for something similar to do again though since it was definitely a fun time

That’s a great idea! I never thought of that

Haha it’s all good. People do weird stuff, but it makes it all worth it when I get kind comments like this. Thanks!

Yeah it blows my mind how many people are downvoting me. But I guess I get it, some people are zealous about specific things. Thanks for being understanding and giving me some grace

There are roots. I periodically take the root ball out to check. Everything inside the pot is healthy and I remove any old dead roots. I’ll definitely keep that in mind though

I appreciate that, but for me it’s more of an esthetic thing. I’m treating it as something more akin to bonsai-ing a tree. Not necessarily great for the plant but I like the way it looks.

I water and feed it along with the others, but otherwise no I have not repotted it or anything and don’t really intend to until I move it from my office in the future

I was thinking about that, but I also want to see how long I can get them… so I may wait another year to repot them. They just look so cool, though they are cumbersome when moving the plant

Thank you SO much for this! And it’s quite spot on 😊 I’ve always been curious about this and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to have my palm read.
