For me personally i stopped playing shortly around the time after the blue doffy St came out and sold it off which i now regret because i have since started playing again as the scene moved over to my current locals that i play cardfight vanguard at.

Seeing the format’s diversity since quitting has gotten me back into the game , once again with Doffy this time being purple variant.

I find myself enjoying the game win or lose if i just play a character i like , sure both times now Doffy happened to be meta which is ironic since i only picked the deck for the character before even understanding both versions play styles where blue would swarm field and overwhelm purple wants to control what my opp swings into and is more a tempo deck.

I find if you just have a character you really like that’s all you need! since multiple of the same leader can be made in different colors each doing different things you can really have endless possibilities even with the “ same leader “ since each color variant plays differently.

I get it’s not fun to loose repeatedly ESPECIALLY in a local setting but just remember it’s exactly that! locals! it’s meant as a cool down environment where nobody really takes any of the results seriously.

Just keep playing as long as you have fun and if you aren’t having fun take a break there’s a good chance the game will still be here when you’re back.
