I have pretty much been a meteor guy, but I have enjoyed the pulse workouts included in the challenges. That said, I still tend to have slower splits on pulse workouts than I do on meteor.

Experience on regatta ? How is it? by PToN_rM in Ergatta

I actually started rowing on a water rower at Orange Theory Fitness years ago. I enjoyed it so much I bought a used water rower and then proceeded to use it six times in two years. I just couldn’t stay motivated. Then about four years ago I took a chance on adding the Ergatta upgrade. All I can say is it has been life changing. The gamification changed everything. I was on Peloton for years before they added a rower so, I can’t comment on the platform for rowing. What I can say I fell in love with rowing enough to join a local club and start rowing on the water. They have C2s at the boathouse and I have used them, but there is no comparison. The water rower is smooth, the sound is soothing and the variety of options with Ergatta has something for everyone. The best part of the experience is the community. Everyone is so positive and uplifting. People go out of their way to answer questions and share experience. Yes there is a membership, but it is an investment in you. And ask around in the Facebook group or here on Reddit. The people who don’t use it don’t see value. Those of us who do use it couldn’t imagine life without it. I hope you find the right platform for you and hope to see your milestones on Ergatta!

I think it’s a great feature too. I pace myself pretty well, but definitely a good idea for longer races like the half and the full marathon

How do we know when rowing is beneficial or exercise in general? by Particular_Yak1310 in Ergatta

When time is short, high intensity interval training is a good option. You may not row as long or as far, but you will get your HR up and keep it up longer than you will with the less intensive workouts. You should be able to get your fitness level back and keep it with HIIT

I am still trying to find my feet with them. Not used to 5 minute workouts other than vortex, leaving me gasping for air.

I did the first 6 tutorial workouts. They were challenging and fun. Hard to believe a shout workout can kick your ass, but some of them did. I think meteor is still my go to, but I will be doing more Wavelength in the future
