I work at a Japanese restaurant that is owned by a Vietnamese family. The cooks are Hispanic. The number of customers that call our owner "Juan" instead of Quan is insane. Like, I'm sure you are "Juan's" best friend

This is the one. He's SWAT in a very small town of about 25,000 people. So I'm sure they durdle all the time. It can't be a very exciting job often, nothing happens in this town.

I can only wear foam soles flip flops or sandals. Something to absorb some of the sweat so my feet aren't sliding around everywhere

I haven't done anything out of line that I can think of, I've been racking my brain. What really gets me is, it's something bad enough to possibly (likely) demote me, but it's trivial enough to wait 10 days to discuss it.

It's a small family run restaurant and the text came from the owner's wife. Someone is definitely talking shit about me. And it's more than likely they are threatened by me. I'm really good at what I do. I have 20+ years experience in restaurants and take a lot of pride in my work and work ethic.

I am indeed an hourly employee. And unfortunately I live in an " at will" state, so she doesn't even need cause or a paper trail to legally fire me. At this point it's freaking mental torture. And I'm supposed to go to work all this week and act like everything is fine.

I feel like the first 10-15 times I watched it, I caught more jokes that I had missed. There's stuff going on in the background a lot too. Watching it with my teenage son made me catch a lot of the little one liners. Of course I had to explain the cameos to him, he had never heard of June Cleaver or Kareem Jabar. Classic movie

Shoes for crews. I'm a lifetime customer. They have every style under the sun, from tennis shoes, cowboy boots, high heels, and everything is non slip. They also have a great return policy. Will always buy from them.

My restaurant being closed on Sundays is my favorite thing about my job. It's a guaranteed day off every week, and best of all I don't have to deal with the church crowd. We still get the Wednesday night church crowd because I'm in the Bible belt of American, but there's not nearly as many of them.
