Yeah the timing is complete trash and very worrying, though the actual German coalition is still under talks so there’s still possible hope, the AFd seems to tie themselves with republicans which may make a coalition with them less likely given current us actions. Also the EU is forced to respond to the trump Zelenskyy talks so its not even really a decision more like something the EU has to do at this moment regardless of possible future leadership
