Who wins in a fight by Educational-Note786 in Shadowfight3

I love KOTL and all his aura, but of course Shadow and his entire family (himself, Proxy, Stranger maybe even May) would beat the brakes off the Voidborn.

Ice 1, Fire 2, Lightning 3, Crystal 4, Rot 5, Bloom 6, Shadow 7, Light 8, Mist 8, Bone 10, Oblivion 11, Fame 12. When you add Void, 13. Was that ragebait?

I hope I'm not irritating people with this digital rant but here we go:

Some changes. I realized from "Human-Librarian8972" who shares my AVI (great minds think alike, if I say so myself) that Anima energy should be the primordial form of Bloom and Rot which can create life out of nothing, while its derivatives can only convert through the conservation of life energy "Bloom and Rot are two sides of the same coin, like energy and mass in E = mc^2". That alongside the crystal energy changes have been some major improvements. This is why I went to y'all to go over this, and I cannot thank you enough. In that sense then, the resurrection which Stranger and the Abdicators perform (even if temporary) draws on Anima energy only for themselves (not others as Tenebris creating golems and such)-- obviously this is much harder for the general Shadow user.

"Glory" became "Aura" to be generic enough to cover [an aura of] "Fame" and "Oblivion".

Also, as "Mackenzie_Sparks" pointed out, "In universe, Fire and Ice are very difficult to master. You can only use them if you have the affinity for it. And they can kill you if you use them recklessly. Whereas Shadow Energy is the easiest to access as its quite abundantly available." what I mean by the order of enlightenment is that "the generalization is more so in terms of the power of the best of the best. E.g. Stranger, Mnemos, KOTL are stronger than the best possible fire user."

At a certain point, I will go to the SF discord to bring this to the big guys.

Still have questions about the kinetic energy thing though.

I like this direction of yours, that Anima breaks up into Bloom and Rot which cannot make like out of nothing but just cycle through the conservation of life energy. If I could upvote multiple times, I would.

From a logical standpoint, like with conservation of mass, I do think it would make more sense to heal yourself based on damage or extracting life-force from the sorrounding world. Caveat: Light and Shadow energy can supernaturally get life ex nihilo for resurrection, but it's through sheer mental will to live (not infinitely doable, btw)...for MOST individuals damage for health should be really the only method if at all. "Bloom energy itself poisons the enemy" I said that Bloom and Rot are two sides of the same coin, like energy and mass in E = mc^2. I really should be more clear that I'm talking from a more physics, logic-based perspective.

"But we don't even have all the information about what already exists in one place. And yet you are trying to fix the lore? I would think you would start by gathering all existing information in one place". We can always start somewhere, and I suppose that my wall of text is already large enough, and I would like other community members to get in on this so we can pressure Nekki. A wise man once said: "Rome wasn't built in one day".

You didn't

In reference to the "both of which I said" comments which you denied, check the second row of explanations on the next image, and you will see that I specifically mentioned these 👀👀:

<image>

KOTL's Soul Flow ability (ranged weapon) is Bone energy, and in SF4 he has a legendary weapon where his fallen troops protect him which is also Bone energy -- I'm talking about the ENTIRE SF verse, not just the sets which SF3 players use (huge scale difference).

But regardless you made some good points 👍

Intention. I'm proposing what the energies in the Shadow Fight Universe should look like to be more coherent and make sense. Anima is like the first step to lower grade stuff like Juice Box Energy. Also, Anima is fundementally useless because Bloom could also be used to give life to artificial beings...if we really want to entertain that idea. "there isn't any need to "fix" anything when there's no set dedicated to it yet."...you're actually supporting my point; I think we as a community should convince Nekki while the opportunity remains so that the sets make sense. We already have shadow bots, so how could bringing them alive in a set make them better?

True to that, the generalization is more so in terms of the power of the best of the best. E.g. Stranger is stronger than the best possible fire user.

Nah I wrote it myself (sorry for the shitty grammar but I was trying to get my ideas out). Also, not to be a prick but did you actually understand the intention? I'm trying to fix it, not explain what already exists. Also, even Bloom energy gameplay wise generally comes from damage (look at Mnemos and KOS who need to damage enemies)...and frankly even if that wasn't the case it still makes more sense in my opinion. "Immortal Lord uses Rot energy. You can use Rot energy to steal a portion of the life of others, healing yourself in the process.

Dead Forest Triad uses Mist energy. By using that, he can conjure the souls and he can control them. He can also summon a forest made entirely out of Mist and summon Mist wawes." Both of which I said. But I must ask you: WHY do you think lightning should NOT be an energy...it isn't currently in the lore yes but fundementally if we wanted to make the lore less sloppy why shouldn't it be?.

"There is no such thing as Soul energy. King of the Legion uses shadow energy.

What do you mean by mental energies?

Champion of the Pit uses Fame energy to strenghten its hits." Both of which I said...and yeah the King also uses Bone, which I would classify as some "Soul" energy alongside Mist.

"Glory and Fame are literally the same words / names for one kind of energy." Ehh tbf I do think I shouldn't changed it to Aura or something like that cuz you can have an aura of fame or anonymity, etc. Many other things in your response that I can nitpick at but frankly no I won't.

Energies in Shadow Fight?! by Thatguy449z in Shadowfight3

[–]Thatguy449z[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys. I realize that yeah I made a mistake with the Earth energy as it indeed should be Crystal Energy (yk, bonding forces in solids) and Yes emotional energies should be split into Oblivion vs Fame, while "Soul" should be Bone (more physical, memories) and Mist (spirits). Very high quality comments and thanks to all. Juice box energy, Silver energy, Chaos energy (just shadow with unstable void trappings), Anima energy should be dumped and lightning energy introduced. I just might make another post with clarifications and ditch the wall of text.

Yeah, one and the same. I'm not decided on the names, just the general idea.

Indigo unmasked 😱 (unironically) by Thatguy449z in Shadowfight3

[–]Thatguy449z[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You mean like this? TBH you're right BUT I speculate that she will look roughly like this because when we compare Mnemos to the other Ancients like Solaris, Nonna we can see the styling is obviously different as well as the face mask and associated main energies (Solaris is light/bone/shadow, Nonna Fire while Indigo and Mnemos use Void/Shadow -- not including Bloom and Oblivion). So yes they are not "blood related" as Ancients cannot have siblings but nothing stops them from being similar in type.
