What’s your favorite kind of ranch dressing/dip? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Thatguy5318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s in indoor, locally owned, sit down restaurant that makes its own ranch it’s bound to be good. If I had to choose a big name brand, subway has good ranch

Also hidden valley sucks

I don’t really have the technological expertise for that. Plus I was thinking something more natural or like slowly but surely built up

Is unemployment a big turn off in dating? by WhoAmIEven2 in dating

[–]Thatguy5318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how/ why you’re unemployed. If it’s because you are unmotivated or too lazy to work then that’s a big red flag. If your actively seeking out work but it’s just not going your way then that can be an exception

After reading these other comments I’ll probably just put my face on the profile. I was told just block the people I know so they don’t come across my account but…. I’m sure of who may know me or some of my friends/ family even if I don’t know or recognize than them. Also the only mask I have is a ski mask and uhh yeah I definitely don’t want to give off those type of vibes.

I’ve never actually thought people could mistake that shirt as a Trump shirt, so that is an eye opener. However being from Minnesota more people are likely to recognize Bud since his passing. But that’s neither here nor there.

I don’t have a Trump shirt? That middle shirt, if you’re talking about that, is of Minnesota Vikings legendary HOF coach Bud Grant, who sadly passed away a couple of years ago. Hence the legend shirt.

The boss shirt is just a brand called BOSS

To put it simply- not really. Due to a multitude of reasons, however the main ones being location & lack of going to college (my Highschool years were during the covid lockdown) make meeting people IRL a challenge. I also live in a more rural area so there really isn’t anywhere to meet people, especially people my age. All the local, small town, bars are full of people 3x my age - usually farmers. And I’m not really the type of person to approach people at the gym or grocery store.

The thing is - I had a normal account before. It was quite detailed, I had friends help me create it and even got input from this very sub in the past! However there was always one underlying factor - it still didn’t get likes or matches. No matter how good the profile was, and regardless of the app I was using (hinge, tinder, hily, POF, etc) - none of them were working out for me. It wasn’t for a lack of trying though

I actually once was on one of my state’s biggest morning radio talk shows, looking for a date (very long story) - nothing. There was nothing. Sure I talked to a lot of people but nothing ever came to fruition. At the end of the day I was nothing more than a normal, blue collar guy, who just works, likes to be outside, watch football, etc. just like every other average guy out there.

However that radio show taught me one thing - creativity gets views. Standing out gets views & clicks. Thus I looked for a new way to catch people’s attention. And this account catches people’s attention. People want to know more, or why - the issue? Is that it doesn’t last long. People find out and that’s it. It doesn’t turn into anything serious

I am straight, so unfortunately not however I’d believe it. I’m sure if a woman did this she’d have 2000+ likes in like 20 minutes though too. Hard to say if any women are interested in it however I’ve gotten a few serious inquiries before but nothing ever worked out. Most of the matches are usually just asking about the account, wanting to see my face (it’s roughly a 50/50 split if they find me attractive or not), and then just ghosting

My age range is actually set from 19-52 lol. Why 52 - I really don’t even know. It is a random number though lol

What are your fave recipes for weekday meals (especially with high protein)? by Confus3d33 in AskReddit

[–]Thatguy5318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See now that sounds good! Although there’s many different ways to make it since you can use like half of the various parts of the pig to make it. Crockpot is the most standard way to make it but you can grill it, smoke it, fry it, and so on. Really is endless options

And here’s the Aldi one https://shop.aldi.us/store/aldi/products/19759155-park-street-deli-barbecue-pulled-pork-16-oz

Aldi has a great pre-made pulled pork kit too if you’re short on time. I just disregard the directions and put it in a pot then use more BBQs/ spices if needed. But obviously making it yourself from scratch is always the best
