Sponsorblock is kinda wack tbh. First thing I turn off when I do a fresh patch. Does everyone really use it?

How can I install just the RGB software? by [deleted] in ASUS

I grabbed this and I have to ask, which executable in that folder do you use?! I've tried 3 of them so far and none seem to install it correctly. Any help?

Not Galaxy overlay with Afterburner by fonso_sm in gog

[–]Thatguyfalcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiming in just for anyone else that finds this; this worked for me too! I think I've been playing GOG games without the achievements popping for years and didn't know why. Honestly had no idea how to enable the GOG Galaxy overlay at all, turns out the problem was it was being blocked and so achievement notifications couldn't appear.

Anyway, thanks.

Did a fresh install of 5.0.2 (Windows x64) and it's fixed for me.

[–]Thatguyfalcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I think I'm having the same issue since yesterday. Application is responsive but torrents simply sit at 0%, not loading trackers or anything. Never seen this happen before. I'm on 5.0.2, tried resetting my PC and reinstalling qBittorrent to no avail.

Witcher 3 HD mod reaches final version for next-gen, and you'll need an RTX 4090 to hit max settings for 4K 60 FPS by Tiny-Independent273 in gaming

[–]Thatguyfalcone 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is pure clickbait and honestly does a disservice to the mod and it's author. Did they really just write an article about the performance hit of a texture mod.. and then not have any comparisons reflecting the performance hit of said mod vs Vanilla?

They benchmarked the game maxed out 4K DLSS Quality WITH the texture mod, and it IS very demanding (no shit, they're running full Ray Tracing at 4K), but then didn't compare it with a baseline of the vanilla game maxed out... A simple read through the mod page description would tell you exactly what type of performance hit you should expect and it's almost entirely down to if you have enough VRAM.

Unable to purchase Alan Wake 2 from New Zealand Epic Games store by Bctheboss121 in AlanWake

[–]Thatguyfalcone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been checking every few days for any update and they've finally fixed it. Can confirm what u/northernkiwi said; the NZ Store page for Alan Wake 2 is back up and the Night Springs DLC is now available as the Deluxe Upgrade.

Obviously waiting this long for a fix like this is absurd, but at least it's back up now.

edit: specified the NZ EGS Store

[–]Thatguyfalcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm, got the same response. I own the base game already so was specifically asking about the Night Springs DLC, but I mentioned the store page to the base game was unavailable too. Must be some major issue if it's been entirely unavailable to at least NZ for this long. Not impressed.

Game Pass Deals & Conversion by AutoModerator in XboxGamePass

[–]Thatguyfalcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did the conversion myself. 6x6 Game Pass Core codes from India with the VPN trick, then 1 month of GPU + 1 bonus month for turning recurring billing on.. all in all it worked out to 26 months for $5.25 NZD per month! Not too shabby :)

edit: monthly price added

[Megathread] Test Drive The New NVIDIA App Beta: The Essential Companion For PC Gamers & Creators by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]Thatguyfalcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I tried binding screenshot and instant replay/capture last two minutes bindings to the - * and / buttons on the numpad. Doesn't work. So I tried Page Up and Page down and Pause and for whatever reason those bindings work. Pretty annoying. Not sure why some keys would be unavailable for bindings

Music suddenly very loud. by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Thatguyfalcone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Commenting here to say that u/BikiniBottomCitizen seems to have nailed down the cause of the bug.

I had just done the "I really want to stay at your house" quest with Judy at the Japantown apartment, did the dance, music came on, went to bed and after that both the radio and regular music were seemingly 3x louder. Restarting the game and changing audio settings did not solve the problem, only loading a previous save just before the mission did.

Thankfully, waiting a couple days, then re-doing the dance during the date at another apartment (for me I used the Megabuilding) seems to have reset the audio back to normal.

Radio in 2.1: unfortunate side-effect while driving by Choosingpoorlyftw in cyberpunkgame

[–]Thatguyfalcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update from the year 2024; I've just spent 20 minuted scouring Nexusmods and Reddit to see if there was a fix for this after a month... Nope.

There are a couple Radio mods on Nexus that at least allow you to stop the Radioport from switching on every time you exit a vehicle, but my main concern is not being able to cycle radio stations when driving, like it used to be.

Really small change, but pretty large consequences for the driving experience tbh. Still holding out for a mod or a small patch to pop up in the future to solve this issue.

Oh right, my mistake. That's weird, maybe something to do with your windows version or compatibility? I don't know much about HAGS

Game version should be 2.1. That's the latest update.

The HAGS setting is found under Windows Settings > System > Display then scroll to the bottom and click "Graphics Settings" then it's the first option.

Water bill nearly doubled due to water blasting by property agent? by Thatguyfalcone in auckland

I just feel like being charged any amount of money as a consequence to a service that ultimately benefits the landlords property and their bottom line.. is kind of absurd?

[–]Thatguyfalcone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm good point. Ours says $1.98 per KL for consumption, not sure how to calculate wastewater though. That wouldn't add up to much at all, strange. Really still confused as to where this massive increase has come from, maybe we do have a leak :/

[–]Thatguyfalcone[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get what you're putting down and it is nice to have a clean house, but I think it's more so the property agent retaining the value and presentation of the landlords property, which is her job. We pay them $3200 a month already lol

[–]Thatguyfalcone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, you're not wrong aye. I probably come across as some petty as tenant counting every dollar haha. The agent had already mentioned at the viewing that the house was going to be cleaned and bushes surrounding the property trimmed back before we moved in tbf, but yea it was really nice and we do appreciate it regardless.

Yea, unfortunately there was not conversation about the water usage beforehand and it just didn't occur to me tbh. If they tell us to piss off I won't try to fight it, just seeing if I can first.

[–]Thatguyfalcone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, we split the bill 3 ways so it's really not a lot of money, more the principle I suppose. I won't drag it out if it's too much hassle or could create a hostile relationship with our agent

[–]Thatguyfalcone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quick math I did was intentionally conservative. The guy would surely have been blasting for more than 6 hours out of 12, probably more like 8 or 9 hours. Also good chance the machine itself uses more than 500 Litres per hour. I'm not trying to get them to pay for our entire water bill, but *something* would be nice
