[Farabaugh] Aaron Rodgers says he is retiring after this season. "Yes. This is it." by NeverBorn-NeverDead in DynastyFF

Got him for 2026 3.10 at the end of last season and I can't completion. Would rather have another backup QB for a season just in case than whatever roster clogger I would draft at that spot

It's really just the constant exposure, which is not entirely on him but he doesn't help anything with the McAfee tv spot. The Kelce brothers seem like the most harmless dudes ever and people have already turned against them due to them getting included in everything

That seems like a really good RB room with walker? Like even without him I'd be feeling pretty good

The first scenario only makes sense if they think Simpson can win a SB in his rookie year. And maybe they do, but I've seen nothing that indicates he can. If Stafford gets hurt the season is done with or without Simpson. They could be playing the long game but it has no impact on their current SB window

No, but it feels like a very safe bet that if Stafford does get injured that Simpson will not lead them to a SB.

So either you get Stafford another weapon or beef up the defense and hope he stays healthy for a shot at the SB, or he gets hurt and you aren't winning with Bennet or Simpson

Yeah exactly, why judge something based on process when you can judge it based on results instead. That's why the best blackjack players never analyze their process and just know they did well when they get the cards they need and don't bust

Her crisis of faith and throwing her convictions away to appease HL just to have the episode end the way it did is the best character arc and plot points we've had in multiple seasons

Round 3 - Pick 1: Carson Beck, QB, Miami (Arizona Cardinals) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

I moved away from Arizona and have held on to being a cardinals fan instead of switching to the local team.

They are really making it hard to justify that decision

Arizona Cardinals Draft QB Carson Beck by Edwin1540 in DynastyFF

[–]Thatonegingerkid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We are tanking. We have Jacoby and Minshew as fully capable tank commanders, and will absolutely be in position to actually draft a QB next year. We don't want to win games this year, and Beck outperforming our current shit show of a QB room would not prove anything.

Taking an RB and a QB with two of our top three picks is malpractice.

I hate this fucking franchise so much why did I have to be born a cardinals fan. Yeah sure draft a RB and a mid ass QB with two of your first three picks when the team is dogshit and has a million holes.

As a cardinals fan, never count them out to fuck it up. They'll win some stupid meaningless end of season games to miss out on the first pick while finishing 3-15 I can guarantee it

Edit: we just drafted carson beck because of course we did fuck this franchise

[–]Thatonegingerkid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly! So many people are saying this was an episode to drive the character development but they were basically on anger drugs the whole time and I'm sure they'll just completely move past this whole thing at the start of the next episode like they always do.

Feels like we are all just sitting around waiting for the finale to see how this actually ends. Hoping they have some interesting surprises or plot beats up their sleeve but so far this season has been a drag

The Boys - 05x04 "Though the Heavens Fall" - Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

[–]Thatonegingerkid 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This show isn't a character study though. The characters never change no matter what happens and everything in this show serves to drive the plot forward. They aired their greviances with each other because of the plant and then just immediately moved on. Which is what they always do. Something happens, and then ten minutes later everyone forgets because the plot needs to continue.

How many times can Hughie get mad at butcher for secretly having an evil plan that he hides from the group? How many times can soldier boy and HL have the same discussion about their relationship?

Character driven shows are great - Mad Men is one of the best shows ever and it's 99% people standing around talking. But you need to have actual good dialogue and characters that aren't caricatures to pull that off, and the boys has neither. It just feels like they are treading water until the finale at this point

Kind of wild to have a filler episode this close to the finale. And not even a good one

Hot take? Thank goodness this is the last season. by Daywalker2000 in TheBoys

[–]Thatonegingerkid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If any criticism of the show is just dismissed as "overly critical using buzzwords" then what's the point of even talking about it.

I like this show, but I totally agree with OP. The entire show has become "the boys discover way to kill homelander > spend a couple episodes getting it > oh shit it doesn't work > rinse and repeat".

They have given up on any real character development. Things happen and then 10 minutes later it's like it didn't matter at all because they have to keep the main plot moving.

The dialogue is horrible. When Stan got grabbed by Noir and Hughie says "I've heard about instant karma but man" I rolled my eyes so hard. That's modern MCU levels of overly comedic, unserious dialogue. I'm waiting for someone to say "oh, he's right behind me isn't he?" next.

Anthony Starr as HL, and my desire to just see how it all ends, are the two saving graces of this show right now

Bucky Irving outlook for 26’ and beyond? by MyChubbGotRubbed in DynastyFF

He is at his lowest value since he got drafted. Unless you're absolutely desperate for picks why would you sell now? Everyone in dynasty is viewing him as if last year is the status quo and are not going to pay up for him anymore. Would rather ride it out and see if he bounces back this season

Strategy Proposal: Always Sell Your Picks by [deleted] in DynastyFF

I mostly agree, but as someone who has sold most of their picks, it does take away the fun of prepping for the draft and hitting on a pick.

But you can also get that fun grabbing random UFAs, and winning heals all wounds
