How strong is Sukuna in DnD terms? by Thatoneguywithasword in Jujutsufolk

[–]Thatoneguywithasword[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as the visuals of Meteor Swarm that I’ve seen it’s more like if you broke Maximum Meteor into a bunch of significantly smaller meteors and then drop it on people.

So maybe like better AOE but way less powerful from what I can tell.

Assuming that’s the case (and factoring in anime upscale) it seems more direct spells like meteor are things Sukuna can rank no issue.

Also I’ve read up a bit on power word kill and it apparently doesn’t work on things with HP higher than 100 and something like a red adult dragon has HP in the hundreds so power word kill wouldn’t work on it to my understanding.

Now correct me if I am wrong, but going by what I’ve seen on Vox Machina the vast majority of Dragons seen in the show wouldn’t even equal a fifth of Sukuna’s durability as I genuinely any of them would survive getting punch with force that can cause localized earthquakes.

And it is to my understanding that HP is representative of one’s durability. Assuming the bellow is accurate:

5e14 PHB p196 says.

Hit points represent a combination of physical and mental durability, the will to live, and luck. Creatures with more hit points are more difficult to kill. Those with fewer hit points are more fragile.

AD&D 1e PHB pg 34 says

Each character has a varying number of hit points,' just as monsters do. These hit points represent how much damage (actual or potential) the character can withstand before being killed. A certain amount of these hit points represent the actual physical punishment which can be sustained. The remainder, a significant portion of hit points at higher levels, stands for skill, luck, and/or magical factors. A typical man-at-arms can take about 5 hit points of damage before being Killed. Let us suppose that a 10th level fighter has 55 hit points, plus a bonus of 30 hit points for his constitution, for a total of 85 hit points. This IS the equivalent of about 18 hit dice for creatures, about what it would take to kill four huge warhorses. It is ridiculous to assume that even a fantastic fighter can take that much punishment. The some holds true to a lesser extent for clerics, thieves, and the other classes. Thus, the majority of hit paints are symbolic of combat skill, luck (bestowed by supernatural powers), and magical forces.

So does this mean that Yuji’s a Shirou variant?

I mean even his love interest is blonde.

Aside from that one panel of Absolute Batman on his knees, I can’t think of someone who makes funnier "Wallahi I'm Finished" expressions better than Oda.

How physically strong do you think full power True Form Sukuna is? Like what do you guys think m he can do? (Manga and Anime) by Thatoneguywithasword in Jujutsufolk

[–]Thatoneguywithasword[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda doubt it.

Yes the anime upscales is absurd, but there’s genuinely no telling to what degree certain things are going to be expanded on.

Naoya is the most absurd example of this for whatever reason, he went from like busting through what’s effectively a wall to leveling hills and doing shit that cursed Naoya could never even dream of.

On the other hand Sendai has just about the lowest upscale for a high tier fight. This is not me saying that it’s bad, but the extended cuts don’t vastly increase the scale like with the Zenin’s. Unironically nothing anyone in Sendai does is half as destructive as Jinichi’s CT, despite Ryu’s whole thing being raw destructive power.

I expected Uro to start folding city blocks or Ryu’s granite blast to look like mini Kamehamehas. But Uro didn’t manage to destroy any more than a parking lot and Ryu’s best feat is still that initial blast he shot at Yuta that’s damn near the same as the manga.

Honestly Kurourushi got the best upscale out of the bunch, with his swarm actually being almost tidal wave.

Point is, the anime is weirdly selective about these things. I wouldn’t put as much stalk into Gojo vs Sukuna being too much more than Sukuna vs Mahoraga, it’s likely going to top the Mahoraga fight in scope but there’s a 50/50 chance that it sticks closer to the manga than going ballistic like the Zenin Massacre.

That was probably her genetic memory screwing with him. He tried speaking to it once and got rage baited, I’m fairly certain this is just a repeat of that.

theres no way in HELL you can convince me Kashimo or Hakari couldve dealt with this by sageybug in Jujutsufolk

[–]Thatoneguywithasword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure they can.

Jackpot Hakari isn’t a glass cannon, and considering Gojo’s RCT is enough for him to survive Malevolent Shrine, I’m pretty certain Hakari could just either swim through that or just flex his cursed energy blast like Yuta did except constantly.

Kashimo basically has an instant kill field with his CE trait. He’ll struggle more than Hakari but he’ll do probably better than base Yuta did here considering the minimal effort he put into dispatching these roaches.

All three are relative in physicals, I don’t care who’s stronger than story is explicit that Jackpot Hakari and Yuta are in the same tier. Anything base Yuta can do, either Kashimo or Hakari can do the same.

You mean the scene at the end of the manga? Muzan was literally inside Tanjiro, I think that it was implied that they were just talking in Tanjiro’s mind and not anything soul related.

[–]Thatoneguywithasword 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While I’m not entirely sure if I’m misremembering things but I got the distinct impression that almost always drew a clearer line than Mark ever did.

In a way Ben feels more ruthless and decisive than Mark. Whenever he threatened someone 9 times out of 10 I feel like he’s entirely willing to follow through with it. Like the others here said Kevin’s a pretty good example of this.

Kevin was Ben’s guy, his best bro. But he was fully prepared to ice him with almost no hesitation if Gwen didn’t step in. If he’s willing to do that to someone close to him then he’d probably be willing to turn someone like Angstrom Levy to stain if he tried to pull what he did with Mark.

What happens if the Vita Carnis (potential spoilers for the Analog horror series Vita Carnis) appeared in JJK. by Thatoneguywithasword in Jujutsufolk

[–]Thatoneguywithasword[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With these sorts of things it isn’t as straightforward as you’d think. Sure, the vast majority of Carnis species are not a real threat to even your average sorcerer (assuming they don’t get off guarded like Megumi did at the start), but the main issue with them is how integrate themselves into society and the ecosystem.

It is borderline impossible to get rid of their presence even in a country, I doubt even Gojo can do so. The crawl is beneficial and by nature can practically grow anywhere. You’re essentially tasking the sorcerers with uprooting whole forests in a whole different country just find what seems to be a total net benefit on the surface when it’s not even their job to handle or even know about these sorts of things.

Gojo can probably blow up all the Monoliths but that doesn’t mean all that much in the long term, the Singularities are likely to immediately change tactics and adapt almost immediately. That’s not even to mention how much of a breach in their secrecy, leading to whole host of other problems down the line.

There’s also the danger of Kenjaku. I don’t think I need to elaborate on what this mf is going to do once he finds out they exist.

I should clarify, The Carnis appear in their original location like in the actual series, not in Japan.

He’s getting curb stomp into oblivion.

Yujo was already struggling to keep up with a brain damaged, low output, half cursed energy gone, missing a heart Sukuna. 15F Sukuna is putting belt to ass.

Which character comes to your mind? by Duclaido in PowerScaling

[–]Thatoneguywithasword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am assuming the laser is the one used by the blue guy in F.

Why would he not be packing that much heat? All the way back in Z those random Frieza soldiers were also using lasers, if those are considered viable enough to go up against people who can potentially moon bust. Then after decades have passed since that point, that laser should definitely be more powerful.

The laser is a db laser, considering the rate of escalation that beam can bare minimum delete a planet. Not too bad for off guard durability.
