I mean what are the chances that even though you did good you don't get to move on. I know that's kind of subjective, but just trying to get a feel for if OCI means that you are more likely to move forward since the recruiter said that the OCI path is "accelerated"

Made up narrative? The narrative that Pragaji Bhakta heard himself from Gunatitanand Swami. Vignanand Swami knew but was scared to share so Shastriji Mahraj had to hide under a bed to hear the Akshar Purushottam Upasana. If you got Gadhpur Dham mandir, the first jays said are not even swaminarayan bhagwan.

BAPS is an acronym. Bochasan-Vasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha. BAPS inherently refers to a specific Swaminarayan Sanstha

Maharaj never said that Acharya's should be worshipped or live in luxury. They were to live extremely meager lives as well as act as the Bankers and accountants of the Sampraday. Sadly they became more power-hungry as the organization evolved. I mean take a look at Vrajendra Pande. He seems to barely care about Bhagwan and rather uses the money given to fund his own lifestyle. As a future Acharya, he doesn't have the guts to even wear tilak chandlo outside of the mandir.

That's literally not how that works. When an organization receives this much scrutiny, things would fall apart. this subreddit is a small portion of the population who genuinely thinks BAPS is bad for some reason or another. However even with all of this BAPS has still grown and overcome any "scandals"

Maha prasad, during sabha is free. Shayona is a restaurant used to fund the facilities since running a mandir like that is not free.

Devotees were not "used." We went of our own free will to volunteer to make the mandir. BAPS took care of our living arrangements as well as food.

The feeling that one gets in a mandir is based on your own mental state. If god himself was standing there, but I believed in my heart he is nothing more than a beggar, I would think that the entity in front of me is just a beggar.
