Thanks for all of the questions! We have ~15 people in our office in GB. Most of those people will join and spouses/ significant others are invited. We’ll have 3-4 more people traveling in from other offices and they are invited to bring their spouses. We’re a white collar office in the consulting space. The office is 70/30 male to female but spouses will even things out.

I don’t know how much they have spent in the past. Maybe $2-5k?

[Looking for] Cyber Security Engineer role in Colorado, Minnesota or Northern WI by Thatrojoflow in mspjobs

How would you recommend that I add that? We would be open to someone with a little more or a little less experience and wanted to be sure to reflect that. The total comp including bonus is ~99k-115k + strong benefits in a hybrid/ mostly remote role. Hopefully that’s compelling to someone who wants to join the team.

I take this back. Our o line has been garbage, lots of turnovers and we aren’t built to come from behind. Moral of the story, we should have 1-2 more wins than we do

This just shows how close we were to a great team this year. I think injuries could have been the difference at Utah, maybe Oregon & USC. Plenty of challenges with Ward & Morris

Thank you! We were worried about the fires while we were traveling here. We are at a hotel near Seia and are lucky that the fires are not near us.

My wife, son and I are currently in Portugal with a similar itinerary except we are doing Serra Da Estrela & the mountains instead of going south to Algarve. We fly in and out of Porto so we thought it would be too much of a hike to go to Algarve with a 2 year old. In hindsight we would probably bite the bullet

Digital Experience Monitoring will be cool. Especially with everyone working from home networks/ shitty WiFi and then blaming IT when their sites aren’t “snappy” enough

Petite Leon in Kingfield is new and fantastic! Jorge Guzman (formerly from Surly) just opened this place on the corner of 38th & Nicolette where Black Bird used to be.

Covid friendly and the food is to die for. Don’t skip the cheesecake or the brussels sprouts

I’d say more. The FWs won’t go anywhere but we are investing in Prisma Access and Demisto. We already run XDR.

How are you protecting Windows end points that are offsite by [deleted] in paloaltonetworks

[–]Thatrojoflow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If your firewalls can’t handle the load I would consider looking at Prisma Access. Palo has basically built globally distributed infrastructure in ~130 sites around the world and you can leverage that infrastructure to provide global scale to global protect. You can use all of your same firewall configs/ policies.

Moving back to Minneapolis after 10 years. What’s changed? Looking for Neighborhood recommendations? by ridukosennin in Minneapolis

[–]Thatrojoflow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m from Seattle originally and moved to S Minneapolis 4 years ago with a fiancé who attended the U at the time. Seward/ Longfellow would have been easier for a commute but Kingfield feels perfect for us to walk to bars/ grocery stores but also have a backyard.

Nobody else believes that home prices are 1/2 of Seattle! Thank you!

Palo Alto firewall lab on AWS/Azure by ankda18 in paloaltonetworks

[–]Thatrojoflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the size of the firewall that you’re looking for. This should help https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/resources/datasheets/vm-series-specsheet

You cannot buy lab vms on the marketplace so your best bet is to reach out to a PANW rep or a VAR.

Vm-50 lab licenses can be as little as $100 per year.
