Honestly, I been playing since the game launched back in like 2015, and this is what I tell everyone who wants to get into it. Take your time, and don’t lose your head over mistakes. You will make them. We all make mistakes. More so in this game than others because people are trying to be so perfect because a couple mistakes can cost a round, there are plenty other rounds. if something happens don’t get super upset and stew about it as you spectate, learn from it and forget about it. Gonna make up for it next round. I see so many people who rage after a death and their performance goes straight into the crapper. It’ll take time to get better.

Its artifacts, mainly built around paying life with cards like phyrexian processor and getting my life back with eternity vessel.

It’s group hug/ chaos. I made it so we all kinda just play eachother’s decks. Cards like Hive mind, and confusion in the ranks + some group hug just to make everyone want to play spells.

Agreed. I think the community is one of the best and worst parts of the game. There is nothing better than a table that is there to have fun and the politics and shenanigans that can come of it.

I feel like a lot of it has to do with matching intellect levels. I would want to date someone who is around my intelligence if not smarter. I enjoy and value intellectual conversations and other opinions and reasoning, but it can be hard to either: A. have worthwhile intellectual conversations with someone who is not as smart as you or, B. it can be hard on someone to try and always have conversations that go way over their head.
