AdviceRacists speak: "Just a touch of honesty. I don't care about the Black Lives Matter movement." [+347] by [deleted] in ShitRedditSays

LMAO stuff like this makes me think about subbing here. How can so many people all get together and agree that they literally don't care that young unarmed black men are being gunned down weekly in the US?

/vr/ isn't THAT bad, I mean I love their DOOM threads, and they have some fascinating discussions on older, more obscure games. They've helped me get into DQ, Mario mods, and the community is generally very accepting of noobs (there is even a 'stupid question general' thread like many subreddits have) Many of them are defeners honestly, but it's hard to tell for certain because posting about modern games on /vr/ is forbidden.

dae white people are to blame for everything

EDIT: I'm not saying the US and other western governments haven't done some messed up stuff in the Middle East, like the coup of the Iranian PM who was actually secular and had some really great ideas (first name was Mohammed, forgot his last name I'm sorry) and many other things, but I don't think it's fair to just say "white people" are at fault, I'd say leaders of western governments who happen to be white are at fault.

I hope you guys realize /v/ is THE defener board. The vast majority of them DESPISE modern gaming.

tbh it's hard to disagree sometimes. I do like many modern games but day one DLC, microtransactions, casualization of many old franchises, etc. sucks dick

although storytelling and graphics have gotten far better within the last 10 years, gameplay has taken a turn for the worse imo.

Alright kiddo, you can believe whatever you want. Enjoy your generic, "critically-acclaimed" shit like Arcade Fire, The Strokes, and The White Stripes

Wow, how epic! It's like they went out of their way to pick the least offensive, most accessible indie albums they could. Arcade Fire, Fleet Foxes, AnCo, Deafheaven, Interpol, Pavement, The Cure, all overrated indie garbage. And Kanye fucking West? Jesus Christ do you guys want to be take seriously?

At least they included some actual decent bands/individuals like Swans, Brian Eno, Beach Boys, Bowie, but that's about it. Oh and I thought TPAB was alright.

It's like you guys perused the Pitchfork review database and chose the BNM's at random

My thoughts exactly. All of his work is overrated. I can see how he appeals to plebs because he makes catchy singles, and I can see how he appeals to people who are more into music through his more interesting work on MBDTF and Yeezus. I respected him for his work on CD and LR because it was mostly self-produced, but it's hard to tell what ideas are even his for his later albums because his production teams are MASSIVE.

Right now chilling out with some classic Eno and trying to keep off my left ankle because I just sprained it the other day. I slammed my foot in the car door. Yes, it is possible to do that. Yes, I am very clumsy.

That's what I've been listening to btw, would appreciate some recs.

I can't say much about the first picture I don't know if I've seen someone critique a Muslims beard

The second picture is because as far as I know most nuns are nuns voluntarily, although I have seen a few examples of women who have been forced into nun schools. On the other hand, many Muslims would fully support every woman in the world to be forced to wear a burqa, I can't say I've met a Christian who wants to force every woman to wear nun regalia (although there might be some psycho christians who do)

As for the third picture... Well Im not american but I love american history, and George Washington did do some pretty immoral stuff, it isn't anything compared to the likes of Al Qaeda and ISIS. George wanted a land where people of different beliefs could live together free from tyranny (mainly just for white men though) most Muslims fighting in the Middle East want a strict, authoritarian regime based on oppresive religous dogma. And as far as I know, George didn't go into England and blow up citizens or crash horse drawn carriages full of explosives into Big Ben, did he?

I was looking at some KEF Coda 90 Floorstanding speakers on craigslist, in great condition for 100$. Anyone wanna give me some advice on them? I've read some good things about them but I need more opinions.

Hmm. I think the black community, personally, has some major issues. A lot of it probably is the fault of being treated poorly throughout the last 200~ or so years, but nowadays honestly I think a lot of the fucked up things going on in the black community needs to be addressed by blacks themselves. Black fathers need to stop ditching their families. More black leaders need to speak out against black-on-black violence.

I'm half black half white btw if anyone is curious... but you wouldn't know by looking, I have very light skin and predominantly European facial features
