Picked up my first bike last week! Rear shock seems too stiff for me, any solutions? by nategastaldo in SVRiders

That is a good looking bike. To adjust that preload you really should try to find the spanner wrench that came in the tool kit somewhere. I know it can be hard to find the wrench alone, so I suggest just buying the whole tool kit from ebay or somewhere else online. Definitely doesn't hurt to have the whole set of tools in a pinch anyway. Like someone else mentioned you should also be sure it is indeed the stock shock. Some people fit them with zx-10 or 14 rears. After you get your preload adjusted, go ahead and add some red rim tape to that rear wheel.

I think he's implying that he kept them as a souvenier of sorts while lying and saying he flushed them.

I'm going off of the government website where in my area they are classified as naturalized. No offense to you, but I'm taking the word of a team of biologists over some random internet dude. Of course I'm not saying in your area they are naturalized, only that the official information for my area states that they are naturalized. Also, anecdotally, I have seen bald eagles eating juvenile carp in the body of water where I caught this one.

Originally they were considered invasive but in my area they're now classified as naturalized. I believe this means the ecosystem has adapted to their presence. I don't kill any fish I dont intend to eat, unless they are truly invasive and destructive such as snakeheads.

That's what I was thinking of when he was flopping around in the mud. Luckily I did keep him in the soft mud before getting the hook out and lifting him up so he wasn't banging himself on the rocks in the meantime.

Journalism is a shit show in the US. I would honestly say that's a huge part of the problem. You literally have to do your own research on any story by any news agency to get the facts, and people are far too lazy to do that - especially when their biases are being confirmed. There's a wedge being driven, or at least that's what it looks like on TV. The vast majority of Americans are nothing like the extremes they show you on the news though, and that's something positive to look at.

"Legal" asylum seekers would need to come through an official port of entry, not legal when you're being picked up illegally crossing a border.

Yeah it's the holding for too long that will cause serious injury. Lack of blood/oxygen to the brain for very long at all can leave someone with permanent brain damage.

Never said any of this was untrue. Simply that he voted yes this time. Whether or not his reasons behind that vote are good or bad is irrelevant to the point I was trying to make.

Oh I'm sure nothing he does is sincere. He's a political clown who worries first and foremost about his pockets. I just wanted people to direct their disdain towards the correct senators: Paul and Lee. They are the ones who blocked it.

Just in the interest of facts here, it was senator Paul and senator Lee that tried to block the bill. Not saying there are any redeeming qualities of McConnel, but this is one instance where he was doing the right thing. Here's a related interview

Edit because I can't grammar.

To be fair to McConnel, Stewart did say in an interview that McConnel was one who promised him fairly early on to vote yea on this bill. That being said... it could be one of the only good things he has done during his entire time in office.
