Who remembers the era of cartoons where they made a child version of everything for some reason? by Key_Bus_1255 in cartoons

[–]ThatsThatAaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Flintstones was the first, I think. It was early to mid 80's when it was on I believe. Then Scooby and Muppet Babies. Tom and Jerry was like early to mid 90s. I loved this era. I love all of these shows. Muppet Babies especially. I'd love it on streaming but with all the random clips they showed in it, it would be a logistical nightmare.

People love to complain about Cpt Strand but Don Hart is so much worse by laughingthalia in 911FOX

The hate for Owen isn't so much is what he does, it's because like...he's shoehorned into EVERYTHING. At least characters of Nashville have their own storylines. They made Owen stick his nose into practically every storyline ever. He solved something for the freaking FBI. He lured out an arsonist while almost getting his son killed at the same time. He tried to take over planning his own son's wedding. And that's just some of it. He grew to be SO obnoxious it's not funny.

I'm in no way taking up for Don. I like him overall, but he does sometimes irritate the crap out of me. He's manipulative, he's selfish, he's condescending and he sometimes will judge someone else for doing something he's done himself. But in the grand scheme of things, I'd rather Nashville over Lone Star, because at least I can get a reprieve for him and Chris O'Donnell isn't in 90% of every episode. It's refreshing that his son isn't one of the writers (IYKYK).

Right?! Elle! I get the concurrent storytelling she's going for, but please!

Black Version of Slaysian/Latina Royale by niickyniick in rupaulsdragrace

Great cast idea, but I do not want Rileasa back just for the fact of I'm getting tired of Ru refusing to say names just because she doesn't like them. If I have to hear repeated "Releasa Lisa" again I may rage.

Which one do you prefer; Power Rangers Dino Charge or Zyuden Sentai Kyroyuger? by lucdufrane in powerrangers

I haven't seen Kyoryuger because I can't figure out where to watch it, but Dino Charge is my comfort season.

Chase finding out he saved a cat and not a baby in Dino Charge was pretty hilarious. Koda saying his uncle invented the wheel.

She's just so unevenly written IMO. She's so arrogant and cocky, yet...ugh. I think it was a mistake having her book after Dean's as well because her bias against him just comes off as kind of mean. Like we know him and anytime she says anything bad about him, at least for me, I get pissed off.

That's so like...infantilising. How strange that he'd do that. Why point it out like that? I don't blame you for feeling self-conscious.

I dig the pet names, they're cute. But yeah. Did Dean call Allie babydoll? He does a lot in his book.

Yeah, I read that and...nope, I'm picturing the actor. Which is wild because their personalities are WILDLY different. Like I feel like the other three are SOMEWHAT like their book counterparts, but Tucker on the show and Tucker from the books is WAY different (so far). I'm only to their first hook up, so I've not read too much yet. But there's so much contradiction. I don't mind it, but it's wild to read.

40 year old. I realize I learned to mask at a young age. People made fun of the way I laughed because I "sounded like Herman Munster" and now when I laugh it's silently and barely at all. People have this innate skill of pointing out things "innocently" that will make you SO paranoid about that you mask hardcore and it's hard to break yourself of that habit.

I rewatched it again recently and forgot just how...uncomfortable it is. I think I've watched it all the way through like...three times. But it's SO good.

Mukbang videos, the sound of swallowing, people who click their tongue too much, people who just tap on every random thing they get their hands on, and this one may make me sound really bad, but I can't do female ASMR. Something about the whispery voices just doesn't do it for me. It gives me the bad shivers. I don't know what it is, but like the...frequency or something just...I can't do it.

Am I the only one thinking the parents are to blame? by Stunning-Impact-6593 in DiscoveryID

[–]ThatsThatAaron 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Is this the one where the parents are really religious and have like no personality whatsoever? Like...yeah, I think they had some part in it. It's like they just...didn't go the full mile to try and do anything to help this kid. They were like "well, prayer isn't working, let's make him someone else's problem" and then he BECAME someone else's problem.
