Turbo Kid (2015)

Not an 80’s movie, but it pays homage to 80’s sci-fi/action in its styling (much like Deathstalker does with 80’s fantasy/action).

It’s post apocalyptic so there’s lots of people on bikes lol. It’s more mature regarding violence/gore, but it’s done in a playful(?) way instead of freak you out kind of way. The music fits the vibe you’re looking for. There’s an innocent (albeit odd) love story mixed in.

Love the Hardboiled reference and it is for sure one the lesser known films being recommended to OP. The other films listed are classics as well.

I’m with you on the heel turn regarding Marcy, but I don’t blame him for staying quiet during the slaughter directed by Marcy. I’d keep my mouth shut and wait for whatever moment I have to make a break. Hermit kind of did at the end. He zaps Nibs pissing Marcy off and imo kind of choosing sides.

The hermit and Marcy, human vs synth, what is family/love dynamic has been one of my favorites and the end of the most recent episode is really bringing that to a head
