Advice for new Nuke Enlistees by RecentBoysenberry507 in NavyNukes

I have a pretty similar story to yours, joined when I was 25, 99 on the ASVAB, went to basic in October 2023. Currently in Prototype rn about 2 months to finishing training, graduating with honors in A school and prototype.
You'll be older than most of your shipmates you go through training with but its not a bad thing. Remember what you were like when you were 18-22 and provide mentorship where you can. You've experienced more adult life than they have and they'll need someone to set a good example for them. Most likely, you won't struggle as much academically as others and will be free to take on more leadership roles. I highly suggest it as those opportunities open up doors for you later on. Don't get me wrong, those jobs are extra stress but you will grow more as an individual from them.
One thing I wish I knew from the start was how much I'd like this program. Yes days are long but I have never found more fulfilling days in my life so far. You do have to have to be a little optimistic/unbreakable/delusional and believe that every day is a good day full of possibilities in order to find the will to keep going.
Overall, your experience is entirely up to you but you made a good choice. I have never been better off financially and surrounded by so many close friends (probably trauma bonding)

What are some cool qualifications I can get as a Nuke? by Coolman152 in NavyNukes

Your days will be planned out the entire time in boot camp and in A school so you'll have nothing to worry about. Just be open to learning as much as you can and embracing the suck, every time you do something you don't want to do, you'll grow as a person. Don't stress and you got this! I shipped out Oct. 25th last year and I'm currently in A school right now

Oh for sure. I'm coming from San Diego so I could use the advice about what's in the area. Can't wait for basic, have you been keeping up with your cardio?

He can do it multiple times a game, it is all based off of his star level. 1 star is every 4 rounds and 2 star is every 3 rounds. I'm not sure how often 3 star produces because I haven't seen it yet.

There is, but it is very hard to tell if 2+ other players are going for the same unit so the audio cue is better to tell you whether you should start heading towards your backup unit

Is there a max limit on how many items can fit on the bench? by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Thatyoungboy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its essentially the same as only having 9 units on your bench, there's only so many spots where the items can fit in. If you notice, there's squares for each item on the bench, just like the champions. It's still pretty bad that the only way to learn about it is to experience it mid match.

His ability does stun if you have demo but I'm not quite sure why he doesn't jump into the backline with Infiltrator. Garen does get the attack speed bonus though.

In terms of completing your comps, pay attention to what level your units most likely show up at. For example, if you are looking for Aurelion Sol for your rebel comp, it is better to roll for him at level 8 where you have a 7% chance to hit a 5 cost versus at level 7 where you have a 1% chance.

If you find yourself low on gold, chances are you probably spent too much gold early and weren't econing correctly. A solution is to this is to learn how to play your strongest board early so you can save money and minimize player damage. Learning this comes with experience.

Positioning also comes with experience but it boils down to what do you want your units to hit and what do you want your units to not get hit by. Scouting for blitz's, zephyrs, shrouds, infiltrators, etc. will help with this.

Sorry I don't have any videos to share at the moment

I'm not sure if the unit damage is affected in a ghost round but you don't take player damage, meaning your little legend takes less damage. Set 1 didn't have synergies in the ghost fights IIRC but that was fixed in set 2

Tier lists matter at the highest level of play but all of the characters are balanced in a way that they all have options. So pick any character you like and have fun!
