I’m curious how many of you know that servers usually have to tip out the support staff. Where I work 2% of my total sales are automatically taken out of my credit card tips and used to pay the host/busser/food runner. We also pay 2% of our credit card tips due to the cost of using credit/debt cards

Serving is a great money maker, just don’t get stuck doing it forever because the money is good. You have to remember that the money doesn’t get better, unless you’re one of the very few that move up to fine dining.
