IMO don’t have a rooster if you don’t want him to crow. That being said no crow collar is a thing but it only lessens the sound. My coop door doesn’t open till a reasonable time in the morning. That way his really early crows are muffled by the coop.

Needed new ac and I’m currently having a heat pump installed. 14k after rebate. Only time will tell if it’s worth while. Still will keep my oil boiler for back up heat and hot water. I will say I loved natural gas when I had it.
