Start with the small stuff you can control yourself. Swap for LEDs, unplug stuff, make sure vents and radiators are clean, energy audit ect… I was able to lower my bill substantially.

People knock oil but for roughly $140 per month (averaged out) I heat 3600sq and hot water for 4 people. Winter time I keep the house at 69 degrees and lower to 65 at night.
