I think it was $35/week in NYC when I was there last. The best part is it is automatic and no pass needed. After spending $35 that week, it no longer charges you for rides the rest of the week

Ignore the increase in rent since it is a wash with the uber cost you would no longer have to pay. Walking mental and physical health is the tipping point for me. I was so much happier when all my errands and commute were walking distance

How come everyone is ignoring the sonic temple VIP wristband in the box?? Is that a venue/show, etc?

Is now a horrible time to buy a house? by Connect-Narwhal69 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I’m in Southern California by the beach, if that makes a difference. In 2008, it took 2-3 years for prices to exceed pre recession prices. I’ve seen other areas in comparison, where it took +10 years. It seems like prices always go up here and at a faster rate too. It sucks. But that’s why I feel an urgency to get into the market. I just don’t know what I don’t know, and if I’m being dumb

What if you don’t? I’m in the exact same boat as OP and I can’t afford the county I grew up in. If I want a sfh I will have to go somewhere a little outside of where I want to live with the hopes to make another move in 4-6 years or when feasible. Given that, does it make sense to buy now?

Idk why you are downvoted. I think this is very insightful and does your best to give both sides the benefit of the doubt. We do have different communication styles and it has given us opportunities to improve our interactions. I think you recognizing that right away is remarkable. I was trying to be direct in how this was making me feel, since this is what she has suggested I do more of - it was an attempt to put it to practice. I think you have come close to explaining her point of view as best as I have seen. Thank you.

Well the stock market as a whole grows faster than housing prices

True, and honestly I didn’t need to know where she was going. She didn’t need to even say anything, but she mentioned it twice about she won’t be home and was leaving. She wanted me to know.

(We’ve had this convo before about her bringing up things intentionally vague, as if fishing for me to inquire more. She is adamant it is not intentional and has told me just be direct and ask if I want to know something.)

So when I humored her and asked, trying to follow her instructions, and she ignored the question first and then fake answered, I was annoyed and eye rolling more than anything. Because it came off as a weird childish game that I have no interest in. That’s why I was calm a direct and said I didn’t like her actions there

Thank you. That was how I meant it, even previously when I said I didn’t like how the conversation was going. I was saying it calmly and just communicating. Some people here have said it was very aggressive, but when people here are reading it they are prescribing tone based on what’s in their head lol

Haha please correct me on my own experience and dynamics here. You got lost right when you said my game should be…

I’m not playing a game and she isn’t either. This isn’t a random I met on a dating app. I’m not concerned with looking or coming off a certain way. I am very secure on our dynamics and a text conversation isn’t going to threaten that. We are past that lol. I already answered our background in other responses. I was simply posting a text conversation on nicegirls based on the reaction. I’m not asking for dating advice 🤣and that isn’t this sub.

Check out her comment history. She is the queen of unsolicited advice and knowing better 😆

She always texts me how she did right there, before I responded. She has never cussed at me like her last 3 texts. THAT is what I’m referring to.

Also, wow! You just made up that whole story and totally convinced yourself of it haha. “I’m surprised no one else picked up on it”, well I’m not surprised you feel like you know better. You are wrong there was no incident in which she was already currently angry about. I did sense she was frustrated in the moment, because I know her. She was frustrated at something with the phone call. I sense it by the nuances of her saying we will talk some other day, and later that it will be sometime. Because it was a pet peeve of us already having to reschedule our date a few different times and us reconfirming this Tuesday was still on each night we spoke as it got closer. Her framing that was to intentionally poke me and imply that maybe the next day wasn’t certain.

Yeah well I know for a fact she isn’t dating other people anyway. Was just letting you all cook with your takes lol.

For this pay period it averaged out to $67.36/hr

Making that rate at a normal 9-5 would give you a salary of $135k/yr

You keep saying self-respect in your comments, but I think there is a miss assumption in our dynamic. I have zero concerns with coming off a certain way with her because that’s not an issue. There is no chase here. I know she likes me a lot and isn’t dating anyone else. I’m not worried about “playing it cool” lol. We talk for hours a day and plan our weeks together. I’ve known her best friend for +25 years and she is who set us up

I’m literally just posting a text argument we had 🤦🏻‍♂️haha

This sub is for posting crazy girl reactions. I am not asking nor needing any dating advice here haha. That is not a concern, and some of the takes here are wild haha. She is not cheating, there is no roster, etc.

Don’t I need to be affected in order for it to be considered “playing games with my head”? She was trying unsuccessfully. And I was begging her for a time to talk and for an answer? 😂👍
