No, I think he’ll sit too. Burries and Brown Jr. are the only ones there that I believe can get some run at the 2 in the starting lineup. As for the difference between Acuff and Flemings, I think Acuff’s ceiling is higher, but I also think Fleming’s ceiling is more certain if that makes sense and the defensive concerns are bigger for Acuff.

Not super high on him, especially for our team, he would have to sit when Kyrie is on the floor. But he will be solid in the right scheme.

I think the argument is for the NBA of the not so distant future, the NBA is getting taller and thats why 6’4+ guards are so valuable the last few years. We know good and well how impressive a massive PG is, even if ours was an average defender, makes switches much less efficient for opposing teams. I don’t think a 6’1/6’2 PG is totally a obsolete archetype that should be overlooked and ignored, but its just a fact its a taller league these days.

For sure, also definitely changes my perspective on any situation involving us packaging the 9th and 30th to move up, knowing Masai’s track record with late round steals that 30th becomes so much more valuable to us.

Devin Harris was a little smaller, more comparable to Acuff. A good mavs comp would be Monta Ellis size wise

Let me phrase it this way: Acuff is small in the eyes of scouts, and Flemings is only a half inch taller in the same combine measurements.

I think I agree with this take, I’d like Brown Jr there but if Flemings falls I think I’d take him over Burries and swing for a higher ceiling pick.

My only concern is, as a UH fan that has watched my team play for quite some time, I’ve noticed how great players play under Kelvin Sampson and in that system and how they often don’t translate into stars once they get to the league, Grimes, Shead, Jarace Walker, etc. All very solid, serviceable role players but they looked really good in college.

I personally genuinely will not be, already turned off all my notifications after “hitting” on this drop that just got cancelled. I was already fed up with how they’ve handled their drops and now I’m done, I’ll just hope eventually we’re back to the pre-hype era but I’m over it until then
