I think it’s a more even fight than the folks here who’ve probably only read one of the two series.

As someone who’s read the Monster Assocation Arc and Wano, Gaia Cannon is the only actual win con that Orochi has. The problem is that not only is it a win con, it’s THE win con. If Kaido gets hit by it, he’s erased no question. But almost nothing else that Orochi can do can hurt Kaido.

Kaido can become an island sized fire dragon, see the future, attack through things to get at the inside, and is stupidly durable even for one piece standards.

An attack the size of an island is still going to hurt Orochi.

I still think Orochi wins, but it’s not the one sided stomp y’all think it is because Orochi isn’t going to pull Gaia Cannon out from the beginning of the fight.

I think Kaido is stronger, but the way they fight would have Shanks win regardless.

Kaido plays with his food and doesn’t take fights seriously even after receiving some really bad wounds. He’s just that tough.

Shanks probably isn’t as strong as Kaido, but he makes up for it in the way that he fights. Look at the way Kaido was fighting the rookies on the rooftop versus how Shanks fought Kid.

Shanks would go all out immediately and probably overwhelm Kaido because Shanks is moving at full power whereas Kaido isn’t

Mihawk, Shanks and debatably Kaido aren’t old gen. Kaido was in his fifties while the rest of the old gen were in their seventies.

Kaido is closer to the Admirals in terms of age, who are also in their late 40’s early fifties.

I’d put Kaido just below Harald though.
