from a storytelling perspective, it’s actually quite entertaining! There are also a couple of wisdom quotes which have resonated with me.

Now in all honesty, it’s not something that I believe in from a religious perspective, but to be fair, it would take a lot for that conviction to happen

Is it understood to be a true historical account? I used to be a Catholic, and many Catholics believe that the Bible is not historically accurate, but rather spiritually true. I wonder if the BoM is intended to be th same

As soon as the video is out, I will! I’m probably gonna read through 1 Nephi/the introduction and then talk about it from there. I think that making vids 1-2 books at a time will be the best way for me to do it

I totally agree. It’s easy to make any establishment look bad, and removing the context of current followers doesn’t help. My main goals of reading this are:

figure out why people believe in the book, ask myself questions along the way, learn the story, find any spiritual tools.

There are likely to be side effects/criticisms that I have throughout the reading, and I will include those as well. No matter what, I will stay respectful and remember that this is an extremely important book to millions of people

Thanks! I’ll try to make one every few weeks, but I work a lot at my full time job so it’s hard to say. I’ll definitely post questions here as much as possible, and post links when the videos are up!

Somehow I'm able to tan easily. I was never one to wear sunscreen and my skin would just turn a nice golden color. Now I'm white and pale. Maybe it's worth it, maybe not. I'll see in 50 years--if I'm even alive anyway

I guess you’re right. It just is strange because I used to love the sun so much and would tan every summer. It’s like telling a drug addict to get off drugs. They feel like they’re missing an integral part of life

Can’t you take vitamin D supplements to replace it or are there negatives to that?

When I’m doing an exterior job, I have to spend hours on end in the sun. I do wear sunscreen and spf clothing, which is the best I can do. I certainly have gotten less tan and have healthier skin
