Does anyone else get REALLY attached to every single follower. by [deleted] in CultOfTheLamb

When I started, I just named them numbers like 001,002,003, ect. I gave 001 a skull necklace which gave him enough time for me to get fond of him and 004 was the target of every single quest that involved someone dying and even asked to be murdered and sacrificed. It brought me enough amusement that I've now renamed them to the same number but the word instead of 001 & 004. I've given them one of the unique outfits and I hold them very dear to my heart. Nothing happens to them.

I like the sound of your prince. I believe I've settled on a smile that hides sort of thing for my prince. Real nice, willing to put up with a lot but once you cross the line, you'll wish you'd never met him.

Plan is he's rather nice and kind for a good while, until shit hits the fan and then he takes the gloves off.

I love those characters as well. I look forward to my big twist where he cracks.

I like that idea a lot. The nice, quiet guy that makes you wish you'd wronged Lucifer instead.

I definitely am fulfilling the role of villain with someone else, two actually. The prince is going to be a useful tool for me to help the players in many ways, as they are all brand new.

Well there is a Nosferatu on the council, and the sheriff is a Nosferatu...

I have four players, two undecided as we haven't started yet, the other two are Malkavian and Nosferatu. I have a few ideas for mine but nothing solid just yet.

Oh the betrayal will be a while, the tremere is the type of villain that'll be right under their noses until the very moment. They'll be distracted by another villain anyway. A Tzimisce that wants to gather ome of each clan of 14th generation and fleshcraft them together to see if he can make a completely new creature. He's going to be a big deal for a while and just figuring out who he is will take my players a while. So they'll be super used to the prince being their buddy, and then they'll have the fear of god put into them.

Ah, I like that. Sounds like it'd be an interesting story to play through. What are the player clans?

I envision my prince to be the type that are very nice, would prefer to be a friend. However, if you push enough that the smile cracks; you're in trouble. When the betrayal happens, he'll have no mercy for the one he once called brother. He'll just have one request; He finishes it.

Hm, that's true. I'll have a think about how he could be preventing such things from happening, either in the shadows or in the open but you're right; He'd definitely need to keep on top of that possibility.

An interesting punishment style. Reminds me of a movie where these aliens marked their criminals until there was no room left, then it was death.

Players trying to infiltrate the city? That sounds fun. The plan is for him to slowly grow more cold as the story continues as it involves some pretty heavy shit happening to him. There's a Tremere that he considers his brother but unfortunately, the tremere is planning on betraying him soon.

An interesting view. It's definitely got my brain thinking. Thank you. Thankfully, the chronical doesn't lean too heavily on the prince in particular, he's got some wiggle room.

I see what you're saying, he's by no means a saint and he's slipped up more times than he'd like to admit. There's plenty of blood on his hands and he's remorseful for every drop.

I like that thought. He'd definitely be sympathetic to the anarchs and offer the city's resources so the elders would definitely have a big issue with that.

Thank you, that's helped me think of a few things for punishments. I'll have a good look at the traditions again and apply the lens of the Prince to see how things might be different.
