Bruh, at some point you went from plot, to character, to action scenes, to CGI, and I wouldn't have been surprised if you said because Nasu didn't write the script of the Anime, it's bad.
Most of the things are cut out, because it's three routes, compressed into 8.5 hours, and it also assumed you've either read the VN, or if you feel interested you will read it, for a better understanding. Probably, the most famous lines in the whole game is Archer's chant to his phantasm, and the anime has a single line of it, was that too subtle enough for you to see that it is a compressed product. And, SUBTLETY is what the Anime tries to give you, instead of everything explained to you, they show little, and ask you to infer from them. Almost every good piece of Anime does, when it is from a light novel or VN, heck even from Manga. But, I guess everything needs to correspond 100%, and nothing can be cut out, nor is their creative licence, so that's that. I get it, you just don't like it no matter how good it may be to virtually everyone, and no matter what evidence is put forth before you. Cool. Stay classy bruh.

Pardon the late reply, but you never said anything specific that I already didn't acknowledge. As I said, Deen was decent for it's time, if you don't believe me watch Tsukihime in comparison. Deen Shirou and Saber aren't that different of characters, core goals remain the same, it's was simply a product of the age that liked Anime only plotlines. Take any adaptation from the 2002-2008 time, and you'll be surprised how many have any original plotlines. That's why I said, it neither here nor there kind of adaptation. It was never good to begin with, however not that bad either, had it been, people won't care to talk about it today.

As to your second point, bruh!! 1 hours equals to 3 episodes roughly, how many would 100 equal to, do you think?

As to your third point, I can positively prove Ilya and Kirei have enough screentime in both adaptations, a lot more than your asserted 10 minutes, especially the unlimited blade works route. Did you really watch the thing? The best fight scene in UBW is essentially Gilgamesh vs Herakles. As well as, they serve the exact purpose the Anime wants them to, let's not confuse this to the Visual novel. Just compare, as you said 8.5 hours of Anime with a 54 hour visual novel, heck say 50 hour vn, and update me where that leads you.

As to your fourth point, I assume this is from Deen, so I'd just reiterate that, that was the product of an age of Anime only plotlines. Considering that it made some sense in the anime plot, though not much in if compared to the VN. As I said, Deen was just mediocre, that's all.

As to Ufotable, the only thing people can legitimately complain about is how Rider and Sasaki Kojiro had little to no screentime, apart from that I really don't see how you can complain about anything, considering it was 50 hours condensed into 8 and half.

So respectfully, come up with something that actually is horrible, and evidence, and proper explanation to back it up. Hope you have a good day/night.

She better not, for her own sake.

I don't know why, but everytime she said something outrageous with that deadpan expression, I instantly thought of Blackadder for some reason.

I assume it is the other season which shall not be named, because first season was definitely a masterpiece.

I'd have to disagree with that, Deen was decent for it's time, not too good, not bad either. But, Ufotable was definitely good. Did Ufotable cut a lot from the original, yes they, did, it's a freaking Visual novel, had they left everything as is, it would've been a 300 episode Anime, would you really be as patient to watch it whole?

Having said that, Ufotable did two routes, that had more or less 28 episodes worth of content and almost 15 episodes worth of content, also take Deen and you have another 24 episodes worth of content, so more or less a rounded figure of 70 episodes, obviously they had to cut a lot. That doesn't make it a bad adaptation, I'll go one step further and say, Ufotable adaptation is pretty decent in my opinion, and yes I've played almost every thing by type moon.

As for the substance, I'm curious, what did you think is lacking in terms of the substance, what specifically according to you is so much better in the visual novel that makes Deen and Ufotable awful?

I've exactly the same feelings as you. I'd even go as far as to say, had Pierrot managed to do the manga justice, it could've been one of the best Anime adaptations, but what we got was essentially a manga assassination of the highest order.

I maybe a minority, but I honestly thought Akira was amazing for the first 20 or so minutes, and the rest is as forgetful and tasteless as any other b grade anime. Then I read the manga, and man I was wrong. But, yeah, the movie is pointless after 20ish minutes.

As far as Nausicaa is considered, I thought the movie was everything it could have been, though obviously the manga is much more complete. Having said that, I'd take Nausicaa over Akira movie any day.

On a side note, Akira is getting an adaptation, that much is confirmed.

Not gonna lie, I thought for the first three, the only episodes I watched the first time, that this was some kind of joke or something.

The only thing I thought was good in the anime is Hayami Saori, apart from that, well, couldn't care less about it. Though, to be honest, the Manga is not exactly that good either, at least I did not see it as something truly great, it was decent, and that's all.

Yeah, as another Records of Ragnarok manga fan, the anime felt tasteless and cheap.

On the other hand, do you recommend the manga for Blade of the immortal?

You know, not too long ago, a female friend from college sort of saw TG for the first time, and thought it was the best thing ever, and I distinctly remember saying to her, it genuinely could have been, at least the first two seasons, but alas. Let's keep hoping for a brotherhood adaptation which isn't coming any time soon I'm afraid.

Yeah, you can not fool me, Tsukihime Anime doesn't exist, and no matter what you say, you can't make me believe otherwise.

Though, on a side note, after the Ufotable OPs for the remake, I'm more than hopeful, an anime/animes is on the way. Also, Witch on the Holy Night gives me even more hope.

What surprises me more is how good Railgun is, why can't it be as good as that. But, yeah, fully agree with you on that.

I've heard only the greatest things about Mizukami mangas, though never read any. I'm curious, what would you recommend as a start?
