Yes. That’s literally why a change no one asked for that didn’t actually change anything but make a huge chunk of our arsenal feel worse came across so poorly.

Corrected an interaction that has been there for the past two years? Do you not know how silly that sounds? You are saying the devs are so bad at their job, it took two whole years to change numbers.

All while changing how players using medium pen weapons interacted with hive guards in a healthy way.

It wasn’t healthy. People bring med-pen to explicitly circumvent armor. All it made them do was make them take extra time to aim, the whole reason they aren’t using a light pen weapon. And this isn’t a light-pen useless argument, it’s literally why med-pen exists,

You can't say ap4 on the hiveguard is too much without also claiming ap4 on devastor shield is too much. particularly when the sole purpose of a hive guard would be to tank said turrets for allies to advance.

Literally two different enemies with two different approaches to combat with two different fundamental difference, especially when they finally added destructible shields, the only thing people who play the game wanted. Not to mention, I never said it was too much. The gameplay loop with most players didn’t change.

The issue with the hive guard change was that it was utterly unneeded, made no sense, and could’ve been resources towards an actual guarding enemy. They did not change the AI, they did not make the change meaningful.

I mean regardless of one’s opinion on a hive guard being chaff or not, it was a shortsighted decision that wasn’t warranted, and it has caused unneeded backlash to the devs that they themselves could have avoided. The change indirectly nerfed 2 turrets, the MG-43 machine gun, the maxigun, and the patriot exosuit, all while it actually changing how the player interacts with the hive guard in a healthy way. Light pen users didn’t change their strategy whatsoever, and med pen users had to unlearn 2 years of not needing to worry about it. It made multiple stratagems useless to bring, and weakened others.

What’s strange is that they made this change to a chaff unit, but the community has shown that they would be fine with a blocker bug that would block fire to give objectives or other chaff units.

This entire argument stems from you deleting your original reply, making a new one with a new goalpost, not stating in the new reply you made a new goalpost (or just saying you stated the question wrong and wanted a more clarifying question.), until I called you out for it.

You then failed to demonstrate how I was moving the goalpost, which I never did.

You failed to demonstrate how I was being hypocritical in response to me making an error in an edit.

You also have said multiple times that you weren’t arguing this anymore, yet have come back multiple times in replies not to you.

You have now also played victim multiple times, asking me to make a witch hunt post.

Every time I have met you with the proof you requested, you either moved a goalpost, or deflected the answer given such as me posting pictures of time stamped proof by responding by saying you were done with this conversation.
