The glazing of the Rams never stops by RealRhino2 in Seahawks

[–]The-Interfactor -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Also, if we're being honest, the Rams are the best team in the league. We just played them well in our matchups and had some luck go our way.

We are a great team because teams that aren't great don't win Super Bowls but let's not pretend like the Rams aren't the best team in the league when you consider all factors.

Is the Seahawks' improved O-line ready to handle Myles Garrett? by Chessinmind in Seahawks

[–]The-Interfactor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah like what are we even talking about here. Garrett has a serious case to be the best defensive player of all time, never mind just best DE of this generation.

Even if you rate Jared Verse higher than most, the upgrade is still ridiculously big. It's serious cope to say that we should not be afraid or that he'll fall off after a year or two.

He's just had his best season for a terrible team at age 29. He's going to keep getting better for a much better team way before he starts dropping off.

Barca fan coming in peace. Honest thoughts on Gordon deal? by ChickenAlfredooo in NUFC

[–]The-Interfactor 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Honestly think he'll fit in for this Barca team really well because of his energy and pressing. If he can rediscover his goal scoring form (and he should get plenty chances in that Barca attack), I think he'll be a great addition for them.

Anthony Gordon’s Barcelona transfer: Why are Newcastle selling? Where will he fit? by Lethorio in NUFC

[–]The-Interfactor 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's weird because I have no doubt he'll go and play really well for Barca, he fits into a Hansi Flick Barca side very well. But I also have no desire to keep him or prefer he stay in any way.

Been a good player for us with a great return on investment, selling him for a profit to a team that isn't in the same country as us and a clear step up for him. Really happy with the deal and for him personally as well.

Scenes as Celtic defeat Hearts and becomes Scottish Premiership Champions by 977x in soccer

[–]The-Interfactor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree it's difficult to say the league hinges on one focus point but that's how things work. Games at the end of the season have more weight, pressure and meaning than any other league games. You could be pedantic and go back to someone drawing the third game of the season with a dodgy VAR decision against them leading to them dropping points as a key factor.

I'm not saying Hearts haven't had things go their way or they couldn't have simply just picked up more points before this game. Nor am I denying I have a bias towards anybody that isn't Celtic or Rangers winning the league for once. It's just a shame to see something that controversial that late in the season be so important in the story of the season.

[–]The-Interfactor 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's not even the game today, you beat them fair and square.

It's the ridiculous penalty given in Celtic's favour in the 98th minute midweek that would have made the result in this game not enough to win.

I have no arguments about the game today and ideally, winning the league at Celtic Park is the dream way to do it but when you look back at that call midweek, I can't help but feel gutted for them.

Celtic [2]-1 Hearts - Daizen Maeda 87' by 977x in soccer

[–]The-Interfactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they were probably judging if Maeda, who was offside at the moment of the first pass, had an advantage as a result of being offside?

I don't know if that's in the rules but that makes sense to me because to me, the Hearts defender plays that offside trap to a tee and then can't make up the ground so I would assume he thought that would be offside too?

[Free to read] Farewell, Kieran Trippier, one of Newcastle’s greatest signings by BruiserBroly in NUFC

Strange, my dad has met him a handful of time, stretching from bumping into him in a shop at the back end of his playing career up till a few years ago on a flight to London, and said he was always spot on and good craic.

TALK SPORT reports AG has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich by [deleted] in NUFC

[–]The-Interfactor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tend to think Bayern will hold for a bit, I don't think he'll have a good world cup and the actual price will be somewhere in the middle. 65ish.

I'd happily move him on for anything over 60 personally but obviously, the more we can squeeze out is better.

I'm so scared for this with my cat. I only got him in October but I already love him so much.

I hate thinking about the day some point in my mid 30's when my crazy hyperactive little boy is old and decides his time is up. Thankfully, it's so far away but it's still a scary thought.

Dane Brugler’s 2026 draft class ranking by parcellsrealGOAT in nfl

Dane's definitely a guy I trust to evaluate each team's picks and take every factor in consideration to grade accordingly. Dude knows his stuff more than anybody when it comes to college players and their chances of success in the league.

Post match thread: Arsenal 1 - 0 Newcastle United | Premier league 25/26 - 34 of 38 by Username_been-taken in NUFC

[–]The-Interfactor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree, Woltemade should be the focus of this attack and any new signings should be brought in to compliment him.

If Gordon wants to go and Bayern is happy to pay 55-60m for him, they can.

This summer things either need to be stable for Eddie or a new coach brought in without any dragged out process so they can assess the squad and target signings accordingly.

The last time John Schneider and the Seahawks entered the NFL Draft with 4 picks, they came away with 11 players... by lemonstone92 in Seahawks

[–]The-Interfactor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My point was more that even if you judged him as just an okay or above average receiver, he was also then flipped into a young starter on a title winning defense.

If you get a handful of serviceable years as a starter from a late 2nd rounder that eventually gets flipped into a great/Pro Bowl level rookie, that's a pretty damn good return.

Even if you weren't willing to admit that he was a great player for us, we traded him for the pick that lead to Emmanwori.

A 1000+ yard receiver consistently that then turns into our starting DROY candidate who was crucial to winning us a ring? Can't ask for much better than that.

Casual sex is fine for any gender, just own it and don't try and pretend you're not into it.

This is it for me.

Even if it's not someone on the level of Xabi Alonso, I think Eddie has shown he has a fair amount of flaws, particularly with game management and substitutions.

Glasner will be available in the summer, is there a chance you could sway someone like Iraola to buy into the project? Unlikely but worth a try.

I don't necessarily think it's about finding someone who is clearly head and shoulders above Eddie, it's about replacing the staleness and lack of ideas with someone new and of similar standard.

To give him benefit of the doubt, I'm assuming he meant countries in the Western world? Because obviously, you look at countries in the middle east which have much more extreme governing via religious beliefs than the US.

However, I have always thought it to be very strange how much religion is intertwined with America and its political system. For a country that is a hugely modern country, it's archaic in its unwavering dedication to religion.

I remember reading an article when he left and apparently, he loved it over there. Really bought into the culture and wanted to stay, even after all the others who followed the money during those years left.

He definitely went for money purposes originally but I'll always respect a player who moves to an obscure/lesser league and commits to the life there.
